St. Ives, home of HildCo Interplanetary, producer of the Pillager (but not yet). And, heck, the St. Ives Compact is just awesome.

Kentares

Niops: a Star League astrophysics colony in the Periphery with 3 planets in one system, hand built Star League tech mechs, and a regiment of aerospace fighters. They also later produce the Nighthawk XXI power armor which I'm a fan of for fluff reasons.

Rochester, because it's in Davion space, close to Drac space, coreward, and it's a rock, barely habitable, though Davion is working to make it more habitable. There's water, but you don't want to drink it and, for the most part, it gets left alone, is not considered all that valuable, except for the Green Jelly Gold produced there. What's more, no one's really designed it except me, even if it's for a Field Manual that may never see the light of day.

Well I do love Glengarry (The world given to the Gray Death Legion) and Pandora (the first battle won against the clans also by GDL), also Galatea, Outreach, Solaris VII and New Avalon are also on my list. Well yeah I do love a lot of planets in the Battletech universe I don't know why really =p

A Place. I've always loved how many planets were named (well, how a lot of things are named) in the BTech universe. It's very unique, in my opinion.

I've actually been looking in to this as whatever unit I start up (if I start one) will need to pick a planet as home (either for game mechanics or roleplay sake) and I think Boondock might be the perfect place. Cold, desolate, nearly inhospitable.

Star's End.

Pirates with their own DropShip and JumpShip repair facilities? Asteroid mining complexes? The place where the Star League's End began? Yum.
