Right now I used a Griffin 2N (ECM + LLs + ASRM4 but it's too hot) and a Blackjack 1X (MLs + MPLs) with success.
I'll try the Griffin 3M, I'll trade the ECM for better quirks...

For protect intel I've had the most success with a 2LL, 4 Streak and BAP Shadowhawk but also run an Enforcer 4P with AC20, 4MLs and XL320 - goes 110kph and carries that big boom cannon.

For gather intel, I've been using a CDA 2AC with 6 MLs but it runs a bit hot for my liking - fine in a normal pug when you can hide behind the bigger boys while you cool down but not ideal for Scouting. Think I might go for the Panther ballistics variant and give that a wirl.

I resurrected my old Hunchie 4SP from open beta - its durability serves surprisingly well in the brawl. Can't really carry, but I hold my own.

Just ended up killing all the enemies and didn't get to collect much intel before the dropship came in. Will need to play this mode a bit more to develop better strategies.

I'm bad so take with giant grain of salt:

Of the victories I have been a part of my best performances have been in a Locust 1V with 1-LPL.

That said I have been enjoying my Crab 27 and my Griffins as much if not more. Of these, I am still experimenting with builds but I am liking MPLs and 2 AMS on the Crab and SRM4 plus LPL on the Griffin. Others I play with are swearing by Enforcers.

I have been waiting for someone to say the IFR. Another strong Clan mech might be the Jenner IIC for the attacking phase.

What would be a good scout mission focused build for the SHD-2H? So far I don't have any success with it, but it should be a good mech for that mission type in theory.

Ballistics and SRM, hope the opponents go for brawling vs just grabbing intel and bugging out.

I have had sucess with my insane Huncback-IIC build with quad LBX-2 and I have had a lot of fun with it. Lots o enemies get confused by it as quad cannons isn't common and the mech has good DPS, speed and armour with low heat.

when attaking i love to use the agile Locust Pirate Bane, and when deffending i've been using a Crab 27B, std 300 engine, 6 medium lasers, doesnt get too hot, goes to 100 km/h and is really tanky

After having difficulties with my griffins (2N and 3M) against the Clans Stormcrow packs, I am trying a Trebuchet 7K with AC/10 + 2MLs + 2SRM4 with an XL275.
Better but still not satisfied, the Crows are really strong. Has anyone tried the Hunchback SP? Thanks to quirks it seems very well suited for brawling...
