To be honest, I still like this map, there are a few things that could improve the gameplay, get more than 15% of the map to actually be used.

But thats a different issue, this map literally eats my video card's FPS for breakfast.

I get nice and smooth 70-120 fps on just about every other map, but Forest Colony has me running as low as 40 fps on many places.

I wish PGI would do a performance pass on the map, I do enjoy it most of the time.

I just wish I could get the map more than once or twice a night. Hell, I wish I even got a chance to vote for it half as much as Polar and Grim Plexis come up for a vote. I haven't had any issues with fps drops on it though. The stutter that used to happen when twisting to face a large group of unseen mechs seems to have come back in force on all maps though.

They could split it up into 4 different maps(keep the large one for scouting) and solve both your above posters problems at the same time, 3 new maps with areas that really never see combat as FC 90% of the time has combat on the same high cover spot over and over, splitting the map would yield new combat dynamics. This is assuming the size has anything to do with the FPS drop of course.

Too many objects, scene to complex and add water. Same issue as river city.
