My unit leader is arguing with me that his TC is helping his streak missiles lock on faster.

Can anyone help me convincing him that he needs to quit smoking pot?

Can anyone prove it with the code plz.

Tcomps are for direct fire weapons only.

Considering they were broken for the last few weeks (not sure if they are fixed now?) and the item description doesn't say anything about missiles I don't know why he would think this. Only Artemis and Tag reduce lock time.

No. It increases sensor range and target info time, allows targeting of shut down mechs, and cancels one ECM.

Equipping Artemis while having Streaks improves lock speed.

It has zero to do with Targeting Computers.

Both Targeting Computers and BAP speed up targeting info, but have nothing to do with lock speed.

Targeting computer's increase the sensor range of the BAP's counter to ECM like the sensor range module. Test that a long time ago though so might be out dated.

Not the Counter, but the ability to target.
Normally a 200M value, 25% of your typical 800M sensor range.

BAP extends that, thus 25% is greater than 200M.

Or better yet, join a team lead by somebody that knows what they are doing.

Just let him explain to you the difference between Target Info Gathering and Lock On Time.

If he gets it right ... he should be able to see the errors of his way and come back to you as a better person

He is wrong about TCs, they don't help with lock on times (Artemis does though, and is a free upgrade to streaks).
