Solo FW was dead when I looked at it this weekend, litterally no matches available. However this is the first time I have visited FW since day one, I believe PGI has successfully driven off the solo players and now offers ZERO incentives to return, so they stay in quick play. I say leave solo queues in place for both brackets, at least for the short term, and offer some incentives for quick play players to hop on as freelancers if you want population to increase.

Ah well. It was fun for me while it lasted for a week.

Time to shed these Faction colors and head back to Quick Play.

Solo queue had me playing FW after more then a half year. Now I quit again.

Nice fix ... for improving player number in quick play.

I was playing FW for the first time because of P3.

But there is no way I will play solo vs. a group. Very disappointing news.

The issue in my opinion was the number of solo players who wanted the flexibility of playing as a merc and so made 1 man units, I don't blame them, if/when the solo queue does indeed disappear on Thursday I will probably do this myself.

A better solution in my opinion would be to widen the net of the solo queue to include members of units with 4 or fewer members who are playing solo. Perhaps with the option for soloing unit members to play unit queue if they want to. My gut feeling is that between a lot and most of the one man unit players would drop in solo queue if they had the option. And with only members of very small units able to get into solo queue, synch dropping shouldn't be an issue.

Russ should hurry up and make a single player campaign. That would satisfy more people than a solo faction warfare thingie. Could even make it premium content and people would pay in droves

If they are going to reduce the limit to less than 50 tons, then might as well just make Scouting for Light Mechs only.

Both IS and Clan only have 2 mediums at 45 tons.

Ice Ferret and Shadowcat for the Clans and the BlackJack and Cicada for the IS.

But then IS definitely has the advantage in the Light department. Most of the IS mechs can easily outrun all but 2 Clan Lights.

The Jenner IIC can get pretty fast and the Arctic Cheetah can get close when its Elited, but they still cant compete with the crazy speeds of the Locust, the Raven, and the Spider.

And plus, not only are they much faster, they are also better quirked

The event would have been a great way to look at the solo queue. Not sure why it was patched right before the event. Absolutely stupid decision.
