So apparently this has recently started around 7pm EST while doing CW drops. The game randomly disconnects me, as well as a few others, from the game online. Tried restarting the game but it says there is something wrong with my internet, when I have solid connection to other things using the internet. I have to wait approx. 4-5mins before it lets be log back into the game. This has happened TWICE in under an hour and now it says I activated the penalty system for leaving the game... PLUS I cannot rejoin my faction in an active drop.

Your ISP is routing something somewhere stupidly most likely.

It happened to me before that my crappy German ISP decided to route my connection all over the world. The traceroute showed my packets going through China, India, the US, UK and possibly Bolivia. Round trip time was about 5s - I could watch youtube with no problems, but MWO was impossible.
Funnily though, it seemed to be happening last night to me too, I would have a 100ms ping during the ready phase, but in the match it dropped to 1s and disconnecting didn't help, so I gave up and watched Colin Furze vids.

So again.... disconnected, where I cannot reconnect TWICE in a row.... there is nothing wrong with my internet. I try logging in and it just gives me the rotating connection circle. After failing it gives me the error "A network error has occurred. Please check your internet connection." There is NO indication that I am getting throttled.. Plus, I still have a full solid connection to my group's TS3

Do a tracert to whatever server you're trying to connect to, and see what it says. Sometimes some crazy **** happens to me where I can't connect to MWO, half my TS channels or Facebook, but YouTube and half my other TS channels still work. Idk. PGI? But then again, water hasn't been working for 2 months in my part of town so my infrastructure isn't a good baseline.
