I can attest to, based on my time in Marik as well, that Davion is only interested in the easy kills.

No one defends when we attack. We no longer have any planets to defend (I presume MS has moved on). The only way to guarantee fights is to drop for other factions.
Kurita has space cooties.

I've seen my piloting improve tenfold in the past several months. I welcome a chance to learn how far I have left to go. To make mistakes I can learn from. "Easy kills" are explicitly not what I'm after. I learned more about what I'm doing wrong from "letting" an MS Timber pop my GHR's side torso by not properly using cover than I have from any 10 pug stomps I've been part of.
The problem is that if we devote a sizeable portion of our force to the Kurita front, Marik and Liao take advantage of our split population and chew up our backfield. Once we get back some planets, maybe then we'll have time for other pursuits.

You're in kind of a weird position. If MS is gone from SJ, then they don't have the numbers to repel you (they seem somewhat dead when they don't have a large merc unit buffing their ranks). Steiner has bigger Falcons to fry. Rasalhague is beating the stuffing out of GB and Wolf. We are dealing with a two-front push by Liao and Marik. Everyone around you is bogged down.

Do it and find out.
Go Liao. Do it. I double dog dare you.
Just hurry, we've already clubbed Marik down and got back what we wanted there, Liao has about 2 weeks left before we've got back what we want.
Go Liao for 2 weeks and see what happens.

Go Liao. It'll be fun. You'll get fights, no question. Is Davion full of 12mans that can beat NS? Of course not. NS has some exceptional players in it. However all I hear from you guys is "this one time 2 years ago in band camp someone said X" stuff.
We're not going to fight on a third front. Look at how many matches we get on the leaderboard - that's entirely without a Clan front feeding skittles or bunches of ghost drops. That's mostly unit on unit play.
Go Liao for two weeks. See what happens.

We get beaten by teams we feel we shouldn't get beaten by all the time (pretty sure actually we feel deep down that no team should beat us). At which point we usually take our toys and go home. We are clearly working up to wearing our big boy pants, but thats cool.
I don't think its a case so much that people don't want to face NS, so much as we are still dealing with the last year or so of skittle bitterness where we get bitched at for farming the first 40 odd mechs before taking the objective. Then no one queues to fight because the big bad premade is in town (I get it, I don't enjoy getting my stool pushed in when I am pugging either).
We are also spoiled by always getting to fight the main CW merc corps by being in the northern hemisphere of the IS most of the time (228, -MS-, EVIL and Kcom). They always re-queue, so if we face another premade, hear some salt and never see them again that night we feel cheated, sure.
The extension of that north / south divide on the map is also that we rarely if ever get to face you guys in the south (just alongside you against the clans). If we don't get to fight you because of battlefronts and attack lanes, frankly for the most part you don't exist to us (NORTH #1).
With the Kodiak, I would think if we move away from our Beloved Coordinator for the week, it would be to the clans (with the bonus that there are always fights), but if -MS- or similar stayed in the south, we know we can go fight them and get more fights than we can deal with at least. We've certainly moved before with the promise of gud fites, to find a dead week of CW. Rotating our contracts in regards to the big hitters is always a safe bet.
Speaking of which, wtf -MS-? Davion? TIRED OF GETTING BEAT BY NS? GO HARD OR GO HOME! NO ONE TURNS UP TO FACE US ANYMORE! WAAAAAGH!

With MS in Davion, I really do wonder what they can do with it. If they stay long enough and work counterclockwise, I look forward to seeing the Inner Sphere "Pac Man" map.
I do kind of wish Loyalists had the ability to vote on which planet along with which faction, so inner sphere map art was a more viable goal.

I've been wondering about the selection of Kuritan loyalist units.
Are there any Kuritan units with a uniform paint scheme?
..like..
The Genyosha, all grey with a possible black stripe:

or the Otomo, black and gold:

..or one of the Ghost Regiments, who were all white with small differences for each.. like the 7th one had blue flames on their white mechs:
http://camospecs.com...-ghost-regiment
..or, at least the classic Sword of Light, bright red scheme:

I mean, I already have three MC shades of red, so that's the one I sport, for now.
It would be super impressive to see a real MWO ghost legion.. especially if they all used hotrod blue flames on white mechs..
Cool miniature paintings d/@_@\d
back in the days, when mwo was in the beginnings, the formed units was more hardcore and dedicated regarding to chain of command, unit appearance and stuff like that.
After the years they have become more chilled, taking things not THAT serious anymore.
It´s good it´s bad, however you look at it.I found it kinda cool back in the days.
