In that case just cap as many nodes as you can to reduce the amount of intel they get.
Also... how would you know where the extraction point is? How does that make any kind of sense?!?!?!

It was a prolonged battle and it's so easy to hide on River City and the points were split already we both had a fair few.
Why should we know? because we have satellite surveillance as it's our world and also your mech should be able to pick up the drop ships when it comes in.

1. It was night time 2. It was River City and when we did find it you know where it was? right in the top corner behind all the sky scrapers.

When tickets get to 8 or 9, you should be heading for the centre of the map and high ground for the visual.

Clearly you didn't "beat the team" or else this thread would not exist.

ECM = Electronic Countermeasure.
That's why military units keep their mission briefing top secret out of public to avoid that their rendez vous points are known to public and therefore known to enemies.

Why would you be able to extract from an area without a clear LZ?

Here's a hint. What was the objective again?

I find it easy when I play with unit mates

If we ever map it out you all will know it.
Till then take the time to memorize them when you see them.

And then only mechs with active ECM should be able to stop them.
And perhaps should the defenders get the position of the dropship. At about 30 seconds left, not before. So they have a chance, if they don´t already know, where it is. But not so they can run there before them.

Yep, extraction should be about holding the Landing Zone until the dropship arrives.
Extraction should not involve a dropship arriving and providing covering fire for 60s until the attackers inch their toe over the line at the last second.

We couldn´t see the extraction zone, so they could cap it and hold it until the dropship was there and they were gone ... buhu
You see that big dropship. You have over 1 minute to get there and do harm.
At least if you really get the extraction zone capping, I hope they make it right. Only the attackers see it. The smoke starts, when they call the dropship. So the defenders don´t get a head start. Oh and for the possible extraction zones ... there should be at least 3 which the attackers could use. With smoke in different colours. At the beginning the attackers are told which colour is the right for the extraction point. So the defenders have to guess, which point is the right one. Because if they see the dropship coming in ... it will be too late to get to a another extraction zone in time ... sounds more like fun

You can't get to the drop ship if the terrain and the night sky hide it from you.

And as for the terrain ... isn´t that a problem of positioning? If you stand directly in front of a building or mountain... it really could be a problem to see something on the other side. In daylight we didn´t have any problems to find the dropships. We didn´t see it every time at first, but after a short repositioning, we saw it quite fast.
