Narc Kill Rewards

Was wondering if anyone else noticed that there is now no c-bill rewards for narcing targets. Guessing if that's the case that tag rewards are also gone. Can anyone confirm?

I have honestly tried narcing in solo pugs. Never ever ever ever works for me.

When and if my unit decides to troll some lrms in group Q we have better light pilots and nobody really cares about cbills just wins or quality if troll.

The best narcing I have ever seen is in group Q when assaults who are going in to brawl mount a narc and their team is set up to support them. All sh*t brakes loose, and the push is devastating. It does take a balanced drop to support the push with direct fire and lrms.

I can confirm the way it is implemented licks sack from the back.
You only get the 'Narc kill' reward if the mech that is Narc'd is killed by LRMs. That's it. All it takes is an mg, or a medium laser to sneak in and there and land the final blow, and you get no reward.

I find it to be very helpful when i have a teammate using narc even if we dont have any lrms. being able to keep track of the enemy is so much easier when they are narc'd. You should get rewards just for attaching a narc beacon to them.

Considering NARC hits take effort, it'd be nice if they at least gave exp/C-bills similar to a set amount of damage if a target doesn't have an active pod on them. After all, it doesn't just guide LRMs, it ECM cancels and leaves a target visible to the enemy team, regardless of location (if not under another ECM). That should be worth something.

NARC rewards are FUBARed because unlike TAG, you dont get rewards when someone damages the mech with LRMs, only when they last hit it with LRMs.

I tried explaining this to PGI why this was wrong years ago but they refused to change it. Or they insisted it was working as intended. I cant remember which.

You also dont get counter ECM rewards when disabling a ECM mech with NARCs, even though you do when disabling ECM with BAP.

I'm just tired of explaining this very simple concept to PGI.... its been more than a year.


A narc user basically gets the finger as a reward. And they just outright ignoring it.

I would like to get better NARC rewards too. I redesigned some of my lights into NARC supporters and there are almost no rewards for doing so. Which is kinda unfair because I have to give up lots of firepower and won't get many CBs just from fighting.

But as a NARC supporter I'm contributing into achieving victory by either help the LRM boats deal more damage, deactivating ECMs or just tag targets so that my whole team can track their position.

If you narc targets, even without lrms, you can track enemies better. Better tracking leads to better coordination against them or prompting where to set up a firing line, as you now have doritos pointing out to your entire team where they are. This gives a better success rate of getting a win which leads to more money to everyone. So I wouldn't say you're not getting rewarded

I wonder, is that a "promise" by Russ? Shouldn't take more than another 90 days or so, give or take.

And of course, we've already had phase 3 for faction play- that being the last patch for it.
