For those saying it is impossible to drop solo and complete this, you are not fully correct. I dropped solo for most of the event, and worked almost every day of the challenge.
When dropping solo you have to look at each planet and see if there are more guys fighting against you than with you. Use your faction chat to find a hotbed. When you drop, realize there is a team goal and you need to work together. If this is realized you will have no issues. The quickest way to lose in faction play is for everyone to serve their own agenda.
Find a mech that suits you well in that environment. There are many good mechs on both sides. Go get one and have fun.
Look at your faction territory size and mine, Clan Wolf territory is shrinking everyday, which means its losing almost all its battles. I spent the last week playing every night, pretty sure I've already clocked 40 hours into this, with only 11 wins.
FYI, I am not even new to this, I have a whole roster of fully mastered mech, there is only so much one person can do against groups after groups of premades when you happen to drop in with pugs...

I feel your pain. I never usually play CW due to the pre-made vs Pug stomps which seem to happen time and time again. Unless something is done about how the matchmaking works the vast majority of players won't play CW. As soon as the event ends the tumbleweed will roll through this game mode again.

Your are assuming a lot here. Almost all of my drops were solo drops. I would also say 75 percent were in defense of other factions worlds. Someone said it earlier that steiner wasn't defending their worlds. I was one of those pugs. If no one stepped up to lead, I would do my best to step up.

pugs are pugs, it's just a ridiculous system. tried putting together groups, not much there...tried sitting in LFG and nothing after two hours, went back to pug drops...we'd even get close to a win once in a while, but the organized opposition always managed to pull it out from underneath us.
this was an extremely frustrating two weeks...I could probably debate things that "could have" worked or what I "should have done" for hours, but I can't help but think that there's something seriously wrong with how this is all put together if even I, being a dedicated all-damn-day-long player, can't figure out a way to make it happen. Luck plays a part, but I have nearly 60 games showing on the event page and I've got nothing but 9 wins and a bare few cbills and eye strain to show for it.
I'm not going to quit playing the game, but I've got no urge to ever drop in faction warfare unless I make some friends online. My IRL friends don't care to get involved...tis what tis, just doesn't seem like what it should be. Organization should be important, but it ...oh hell, it's a game, just frustrated. I can shoot fine and organize 12 people in a pug alright, but we got laserhands to our faces every time. Bleh.

Sorry if I appear to be assuming anything, I mean to put across that I have been facing against many premades with close to no chance of winning. Just like the post above, I did tried to organize things and stuff. But, it is really hard and stressful to get people who are inexperienced to pull off a miracle.

However,
My experience with this event on Invasion mainly was BRUTAL, over 30 matches played won 4, as clan, 4 man unit group ques. Did not always face 12 mans, pugs were here and there. It was highly stressful. Very difficult.
I feel being rewarded an EBJ for the Brutality, would be fair, and well earned for under going such extreme, harsh, hazardous, unforgiving, environment.
Maybe throw in a standing failure cockpit item? I will always keep it in that mech I promise.
Think about it...
I would like to end on this note, Thank you all for your hard work and you have done a great job with the game. Much appreciation.
Happy Hunting.

Pardon me, but did you intentionally tank your Tier? You sound like you should be up in Tier 3 or better. It took me longer than that, and I'm a Tier 4. And I'm still waiting to see if someone else down in Tier 5 finishes this.
