Well, either PGI is trolling you on the awards or maybe rewards arent always meta mechs given to you for free. Maybe, you got a free mech bay and the c-bills for selling the mech. Maybe, you are a brand new player and happy to even get a free mech.

Dont be mad at the subpar performance of PGI, it isnt like this is a new thing. The best indication of future performance is past performance.

I'll point out that brand new players are very unlikely to be able to complete this event in 10 days for the reward mech to begin with.

Well, let's take the Mist Lynx as an exception all others are decent mechs. So because you don't like one of the picks you're screaming bloody murder? 3 are even Meta picks(EBJ, WHK, TDR).

The Mist Lynx is one of the original Clan scout omnimechs. It's placement as a grand prize is appropriate in that sense.

If you get it and don't like it, you have free c-bills to put toward an Arctic Cheetah or something else.

And they could have given rewards other than battlemechs just as easily.

How about a pack of whole lot of UAVs for the scouting missions? Or both a Sensor Boost and Radar Deprivation modules, to facilitate scouting with? And so on...
I very much doubt people would have complained over rewards such as those, but when you hand out a 'subpar' mech as it were, of course you're going to get some kind of a backlash.

I take the mechs, thank you. I don't know why everyone has a hard on for that Mist Lynx. Don't like it? Grab the Shadow Cat. Don't need or want any of those mechs? Grab the most expensive one, sell it and have some free equipment to use or sell.
