[Tennex]

Wanted to keep track of incoming mechs like we did back in closed beta. Like this one mech release system for the fact that it kind of strings you in and has a new mech monthly rather than 4 mechs every 3 months or so. Anyway heres the list:

Kodiak: May 17th
Phoenix Hawk: June 21st
Viper: July 19th
Cyclops: August 23rd
Night Gyr: September ???

They couldnt even COMPLETE that list in closed beta, four years ago.

September 20th if going by my laptops calender is anything to go by, all the dates you listed are the 3rd Tuesday of each respective month. The 20th of September is the 3rd Tuesday.

Those don't happen for about 2 or 3 months after the $ release date, I'm not 100% sure on that, but that's usually how it works.

That isn't what Russ said, he said a month after the Viper. Its a 3 month process, so announced in May, 3 months later is August.

Then how do you explain this from the Viper and Cyclops store pages.

Word directly from Russ's mouth overrules "logic", in this case.

That said, it's possible he misspoke.

Logic dictates that they can't release 2 mechs at once? Please show me the logical reasoning behind that.

Sorry, a minor question here. I don't want to derail the thread, but I didn't want to keep making new threads all the time. Was there no information in the Town Hall? The only thing I've seen discussed on the forum is the Night Gyr. Was there nothing else worth talking about?

Then in this case it seems that he misspoke, because the store pages would have to be re-written and that might cause some upsets.

If they do one mech a month, and the Night Gyr is to be delivered after the Viper, that means the Cyclops gets pushed back to September... And we all know how people get up in arms over delays like that.

Because it doesn't jive with the one-mech-a-month release system they've settled into? That should be all the logic you need.

Nothing that really caught my ear. They made mention of some of the Post-Phase-3 stuff like the power draw system but there was nothing new brought up about it, Night Gyr was the only "Big" news item.

The system was to announce one mech a month as well, yet this time they announced 2. Also, if that is the system they settled into then why was there no mech release in april?

Your logic is flawed, obviously. Spock would be disappointed in you.

Seriously, what evidence do you have that they won't release 2 mechs in one month? There is no evidence, despite recent trends. The recent trends go out the window when they announced the Cyclops mid month. You have no reason to believe anything, I am just going off what Russ said. "You know the system" = Mech announcement + 3 months = mech release.

There was no mech for April because CW/FW Phase 3 was the "Soup du Jour" if you will, and we all know how well that went over.

So the mech release trend that you say is unbreakable was broken? Or...?

Seriously, there is no reason they couldn't release both in the same month, we won't know for sure until the page is posted, but what Russ said suggests that it will be released with the Cyclops in August.

Previous mechs were announced once a month, and so were released as such. This time they announced the Cyclops and Night Gyr within 2 weeks of each other, which means it's not at all impossible for them to be released at the same time, or even just 2 weeks apart.

You seem to think their solo pack release schedule is a strictly defined unbreakable rule, which it isn't. They've already broken it by not releasing a mech this month, and Russ gives the impression that they're pretty flexible with such things. The Night Gyr may come out in September, but it's entirely possible (and without anything to the contrary) that they could release it alongside the Cyclops.
