I was in the midst of a hard fight on Tourmaline last night when this magnificent fellow showed up next to me and started doing some serious work.

I thought only the original Clan pack had gold mechs? How the heck did he get this camo?

That's the WHM-6R(S), when you put black paint in I think it's position 2, you get gold on it.

Yeah, just a camo/paint illusion... There's a few mechs stuff like this happens with. If it had been a true gold mech it would literally be SOLID GOLD.

The Kodiak Hero Spirt Bear will have matalic paint for the tribal patterns.

Any of the clan mechs when you put Jade Falcon camo on the tertiary channel that is standard yellow turns to gold when painted black

All the (S) modes of the last four IS mech packs have this feature.
For some reason though the Warhammer appears to bling a little harder than the rest, especially when you alter the camo colors a little.

For clam mechs you can get the Clan Wolf pattern and alter the colors a bit for a gold-like effect.

Yeah, it's the variation from mech to mech on how certain parts of it are glossy or glisten depending on the camo. Even with the same colors and patterns. It's sort of reminds me of how base coats of paint can affect the nuances of the final layers.

For example, on some mechs, the JF camo has that shiny green tint no matter what color you put, on other mechs it is quite a bit more neutral and just looks shiny. It's like that across all the camos, so some mech + camo combinations will achieve certain effects (like gold) while others, sadly, won't.

I kinda did the same thing a number of my mechs, I put the Clan Wolf camo on them and painted them black, it gives them a sorta orangish goldish glow, it looks nice.

To bad my WHK-P(I) is STILL stuck in that **** *** looking invasion paint job, it looks ******* terrible. I want it out of that look....its so boring.

If you're on a Clan mech, Rasalhague Orange + Clan Wolf camo works well for faux gold.
