In my time, I've seen a Gold Summoner and Gold Kit Fox.

I quickly murdered the Gold Summoner as it was on the Red Team, but I was sad to watch a team mate leg the Kit Fox that was in my lance.... I just don't get the hate for the Gold Mechs, I mean sure they had the disposable income to buy a $500 limited edition Mech Pack, but at the same time they like(d) MWO enough to support it with that big of a purchase.

What if I want this camo pattern on say, the Black Knight, which I purchased for C-Bills? Is there a way to get this "gold" camo spec on other mechs without spending an extra $20-40 on mechs?

Its the "Screw you and your disposable income, I'm poor/bad with money." mentality I believe. Even I didn't have the money for the Gold packs and am/was super jealous of them, but I don't hate on anyone who has one. Besides, they make easier targets as enemies and a good distraction as a friendly.

Still wish I could've gotten myself a Gold Summoner though...or Nova...

No, sorry. This specific "gold" camo is only available for these mechs: Marauder, Warhammer, Rifleman and Archer, and they're only available as part of the Collector's pack of those mechs.

Out of the Golds, only two I would've liked to have had were the Timby and Warhawk.... But since I'm not a fan of laser vomit, I play IS 99.9% of the time now.
