All hail to the Lurmpaw!

And testing grounds, indeed... that's the only place I'm willing to run such an atrocity as a Lurmdiak... I'll buy one with CB and outfit him with LRMs only to ogle at it in the mechlab during idle times.

...eh what is the Clan Wolf Kodiak doing...?!?

He has no cover, no leaves or grass to wipe and he is not even in the woods!

I'll get the Kodiak on 17th but why PGI compressed in less then 2 weeks the Kodiak release and the end of the preorder of two interesting mechs like the Cyclops and Night Gyr? I'd like to preorder the Cyclop but I'll pass...

I like the KDK-4's missile arms being influenced by the Kodiak from MW4 that was technically the Kodiak II.

So the huge cockpit blind spots explains the quirks...

Come on. Compared to the AS7 and the SHD no one else gets to complain about obstructed cockpit views.

I can't see the Cyclops being any better, either :)

I actually like the green still showing inside the "jaw". To me, it makes the whole surrounding "jaw" structure feel like thin, unarmoured paneling bolted on for the sake of appearance, like they couldn't be bothered to paint the unseen portion of extraneous ornamentation. In other words, the whole idea behind a totem Mech: Clan frugality merged with... well, "clannish" pride.

The Phoenix Locust varient outdoes both the AS7 and SHD in obstructed viewports.

I was thinking the same thing. Just one of those dials that the designer is using is reused 8 times (maybe more) on 4 different parts of the cockpit. What annoys me most is that the inside of these mechs look like the cockpit of an old 1960's helicopter with the tech to match, not the inside of a mech we'd be piloting in the 31st century.
There is laziness and there is fiction unintentionally following real life given just about all but the absolute latest military tech interiors (armor to aircraft) still looks it was designed 20 to 50 plus years with some current tech bolted in.

On the dials being the same, some one was probably being frugal with the design funds. Possible in universe explanation.

Well the kodiak from MW4 (Kodiak II / Kodiak V1) was based of the Kodiak 4 to begin with (which had LRM's where the hands were. But that was more of a discription then a depiction I guess. I can't find any images of the kodiak 4 so it's safe to assume the Kodiak in MW4 was the first (or wide spread) use of those Arms. (But it was always a 'kodiak 4' from the get go... just modifide. it hass 4 er medium lasers (check), big LBX/ UAC 20 cannon (check), no CT laser (checK), 2 LRM 20's- oh wait, they are SMRM 40's now? how, they are so hea- oh you lowered the engine too?... okay I guess.

Not in particularly (not that you even stated any form of factual/ statistical/ evidence behind that blanket statement)

You are providing more "evidence" than needed with your own posts.
