I've DLed and installed TeamSpeak 3.

It said in the sticky about this to also DL and install C3. But I can\t get into it. A small box comes up and I try to register. I put in my ID and e-mail and hit "sign up| but nothing happens. The box is too small so I'm not sure if I am missing something. And I cannot make the box bigger.

And hints on using TeamSpeak will be great.

to use teamspeak you need to find a teamspeak server, connect to the server and then move to a room on the server with people in and ask if you can join them.

here is a list of public servers
https://www.mechspec...rver-list.8806/

if you ever decide to join a unit that unit (what in other games would be referred to as a clan, a group of players who play together) will most likely have its own teamspeak server

Just a quick point with Teamspeak and settings, make sure that you set it to run as administrator, especially when running games, often the game will stop you being able to transmit unless its in administrator mode.

Ignore the bit about C3. That refers to an oid VOIP solution that did not work out.

Thanks all. That list was in an old link that did not work in the other sticky on this.

It has been many years since I did TeamSpeak and it has changed, lol. (and people also carry these small little phones, lol) The last time I used it was playing Everquest and I just went into our Guild area and it was done.

I see now that it is a process here which I will work through. So far I\ve not seen anyone else in the Education area but I will keep pushing.

These mobs looking like herds of cats doing missions against premade Steiner Units is becoming mind numbing. I thought I'd be doing this for many hours a day and I'm already getting tired of the hopeless grind. I was an Army Officer and this is just killing me, lol.

I need to find a good unit to join. I'm used to both giving and TAKING orders.

LikeUntoGod, generally yes those who take the time to get on to Teamspeak really want to actually be in a group, have fun and win. Unfortunately a lot of people just ignore the ingame voip.

look in the http://mwomercs.com/...7-faction-play/ subforum, there are sections for each individual faction as well as for Mercenary units, Mercs will keep switching between factions, so if you want to play with both Clan and Inner Sphere Mechs in Faction Play look for a Merc unit.

Before joining a unit do a bit of research, find when they are active, are they part of just 1 faction or Merc, casual or competitive and if there is a code of conduct is it acceptable to you, I have seen many posts where people complain they do not like their unit and a bit of research would help avoid that.

I am with an international Merc unit with players from the UK, Europe, North America and Australia, we usually alternate between clan and IS with each contract, if that sounds good check out the link in my signature.
