S I also play Madden football so around the middle of this month I will take a little break from MWO while I play the new madden. been a habit of mine and my brothers for 20+ years so its not going away.

Someone say "Madden"? If I could play right now I'd be out of your hair and off these forums for many months.

(I can just image the behind the scene messages flying around. HOW do we get LikeUntoGod to start playing Madden as soon as possible!)

I am sorry to say that I cannot get on tonight. >B(

I have been running like mad the past couple of weeks. I may be on later tomorrow evening.

I have always been a Madden guy. Its my favorite game. But find myself playing less and less every single year as I get older and so do my kids. Plus I am now coaching Youth football so I find a way to constantly be busy.
Still I will come back to this game and get a few drops in randomly.

Yea, I've been kidding that I'm going to start a 55 years old and older league, lol.

Logged on last night after a long absence and did very well. had better than a 2-1 kill ratio. Not great for some but I will take it. With Clan Heros coming out and the rewards dropping in a few days I will do my best to play this game as much as I can.

Congrats. Also good to see you again. I've got a working headset now. Also more on during the day than evenings.

After a lot, and I mean a lot of failures to do more than two kills and lots of crappy battles in my recent attempts.. I got this gem with a Dire Wolf yesterday.

That's a good game. I had a 4 kill 8 KA, 600 damage game in my king Crab last night that I was maybe a shot away. Those Dual AC20's are killer.

I cant remember but I don't think I have gotten over 800 damage in a single game yet.

So my K/D ratio is the highest it has ever been. I still have a lot to learn and work to do as my consistency is not where it should be. I will have great matches followed by 2 poor ones. I have found that I do my best work in close range but need to be as patient as possible.
I have gotten several new mechs lately and really enjoy them. I got a timberwolf and while it is designed for sniping and LRM barrages I do have a very good average match score in it.

On the 15th I will be getting a whole pile of new mechs and am really looking at doing my first FP drops. I would like some help with that if any of you are willing/able. I have been good about being on the last few evenings from at least 8-10pm central time.

Yeah, close range with Dire Wolves require a lot of patience, situational awareness, and testicular fortitude. My new job has me working 5pm to 5am est as a machinist, so I won't be on those hours until the weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). Cant complain about the cash, even the 90 day training period pays more than any job I had before, and got this one just two days after the last one fired me and had the full to tell me I "quit" (so they wouldn't have to pay unemployment).

I'm sitting on 212 mechs now and got enough to make it 213 soon. Pretty eager for getting into some action and to make some videos.

I have the linebacker collection with hero and I think 4 or 5 of the Clan Hero's coming on the 15th so that will be a big day.
Though we work almost opposite shifts so weekends might be our only game time as I'm an 8-5 M-F kind of guy.

I also forgot to mention that I got my first head shot kill over the weekend, and it was on a live mech and not a disconnect. So that was pretty cool. Duel PPC's to the head.

I have not been on in a little while with Deer hunting and life getting in the way but I am really looking forward to this patch and the Linebacker and the Clan Hero's. I have 4 Clan Hero's coming as well as the Linebacker set with Hero. So im pumped for that. I will be on tomorrow night (Wednesday) for sure.

Hello hello!

I have missed MWO lately. I have been running a flooring business in the absence of my boss and just have not had the time/energy to play. Other more deeply personal resons included.

I kinda like the new "Escort" mode.

Turns out that getting stuck in the bottom of a canyon - because I did not practice Canyon Network and forgot the map layout - with a ballistics only KDK-3 will STILL get me tore up by 2 light mechs and made to look (deservedly) like an idiot with only a quick, painfully embarrassing death and only 61 damage to show for it. WHO'DA THUNK IT?!

Hey guys. I hate that I missed chances to take drops with you. I hope everything is going well for you.

I did get a BJ-2 and a HBR-F(L) while I was gone. Pretty cool paint schemes to boot.

Welcome back.

A makeshift version of Zhizhu (the merc unit I run) has started up again in MWO and the Battletech universe. We're dropping weekend evenings mainly, you're welcome to join us. The more we bring into the group queue the better off we'll be. Especially since we tend to drop under weight.

I was able to, at great and rapid expense and at the unhappy qualms of my missus, able to net all the Loyalty 'Mechs from the last bout.

Look forward to playing them with you. Come to think of it I have yet to try some of them.

That sounds great to me. It will be good with my schedule to be on Friday or Saturday night. Sunday would be an issue until TWD season ends lol. We usually have a group that watches together.

What time window do you guys run? I would probably have to stop on or before 1:00 am CST.

Was in a group queue match last night and learned a new trick from an obviously more experienced pilot...

You may already know this trick but I am sharing it for the newer pilots.

He was in a Nova I was running a Blackjack-2 with 4 srm4s and 2 mpls. We both came around a building and I hit his already damage nova HARD so that one little CT hit would have been it for him. I knew it, he knew it.

My next shot did not hit his CT. Nope, his leg armor absorbed the hit bacause HE HIT HIS JUMPJETS! He used his legs to absorb the hit! NICE quick thinking on his part.

We were within melee range and there was no way I could fire torso mounted missiles high enough at that close range. I had arm lock on so I could not even hit him with my arm mounted mpls.

He landed and I died saying out loud, "WHAT JUST HAPPENED?! I HAD HIM! I HAD HIM!"

I cannot remember the pilots name but I had to show respect and share that trick with other rookies. Also, I am stealing that trick for personal gain.

Edit: I enjoyed dropping with you guys. I learned something from every match. Had to share this one for my fellow rookies.

So he jumped on you? Or jumped higher than you could shoot?

It happens.

I took it that he had a bright cherry red CT and jumped straight up so that my shot hit his legs instead of coring his mech.

He might have been trying to Super Mario me upside the head though. It would be cool to be able to do the "death from above" maneuver.
