X52 and saitek's profiling software

But saitek's (Madcatz's) profiling software looks great, seems like it would be awesome...and then I touch one of the mouse controls on the throttle. the MFD screen locks with the mouse message, all the buttons on the throttle and stick stop functioning (the axes still function, but nothing else).
Normally, I would say meh, uninstal the profiler, and program the keys through the game interface. but mechwarrior 4 is being wonky for me, and I needs my muscle memory!
system Stats:
Intel Core 2 duo 2.6gh (dual core)
Nvidia Geforce 9800gt
(onboard sound card disabled through cmos)
Logitech G930 wireless gaming headset
Logitech wireless trackman mouse.
Standard non-usb keyboard
Windows 7 64b (havent fully finished with windows update yet)
I'm using the latest drivers availabled from Saitek's website, as well as the latest version of the profiling program.
so, like I think I said earlier, when I load up my MW4 profile, it works relatively fine. but if I touch any of the mouse controls on the throttle (mini mouse stick, mouse fire button, scroll wheel up or down) the MFD screen hangs. If I unload the profile/disconnect the device I get a BSOD.
After windows finishes updating completely I'm going to completely uninstall all of saitek's software/drivers and reinstall them and see if that will fix the issue. Is there anything other than that you guys can think of to fix the issue? Also, in the event that the SSD (think thats the name of the profiler?) refuses to co-operate, do any of you segzy segzy hardware guru's know any other profiler programs that maybe plays nicer with the x52?
sorry for the wall of text...it allready crit me for over 9000 >.<

So you might try unplugging any that is wireless start the game and go all the way through to launch, after you launch and in the game plug it in if it works, get rid of the wireless

I use the X52 HOTAS for my MW4, and it has a built in mini-stick mouse functionality doohickey. if I touch the HOTAS mouse (not my logitech one...it doesnt give me any problems!) it locks the software from saitek up. I can use my logitech mouse and it doenst cause things to lock up.

When you scroll down to the mouse controls in the programming software without actually touching the controls, you should be able to change their setting. By default it should be Mouse X for the X axis, Y for Y axis, logically. Is this the case?
Anyway, setting all of these mouse controls to "fallback" or "unprogrammed", should resolve your issue, if it is some kind of conflict with your mouse drivers or control mappings. Unless it's some kind of hardware, short cirquit type of problem in the throttle itself, but i'd think that's rather unlikely.

I found an easy fix for the scroll wheel issue...a piece of duct tape lets you still use the wheel button and not scroll (but looks bad...and I want full functionality damnit!)

Duct tape to the rescue sounds a little basic to me too... I wouldn't like that either, yet i have to admit i never, ever used that mousewheel on the throttle for anything. Back when i started using this hotas, i think the software didn't feature remapping the mouse controls, so they never made it into my muscle memory.

You said you were using the profile [SSD/SST] program?
If so, were you labeling the inputs [i.e. trigger] with names?
http://www.saitekfor...ead.php?p=89077
That explains if your label is more than 15 characters [i.e. trigger = pulltofiremissiles] it would cause a lockup and a bsod.
Heh, looked up x52 bsod characters and a post from here popped up. http://mwomercs.com/...post__p__880610

edit: last time I used my x52 was a year ago on my win xp system. Now in Win7 the (latest) programming software is crashing my computer
Use with care.

So I am setting up my X52 to work with MWonline.
Not so hard once I figured out what I was doing wrong. With the default options set, from there your settings should look like:
Torso twist: j1_rot_z
Pitch: j1_axis_y
Throttle: j1_axis_z
Works perfect BUT. When I pitch the joystick forward, the motion is backwards and the cursor moves upwards.
When I push the throttle forward, the mech moves towards reverse.
The invert Y option box only causes the mouse motion to be reversed.
I am so close to waggling my joystick in game.
Also: In the US we generally spell "Centre Torso" as "Center Torso." Tell me I am wrong.
I see now this thread: http://mwomercs.com/...ech-saitek-fix/ and I see now the throttle is in the right direction and so is the pitch, but it is unplayable.
