Eh, not that easy. I may have improved my skills, but I only made 2 Kodiak Kills during my course of completing this event. I think the TTK on Kodiaks is probably about right.

I'm using this time to level up my brand new Urbanmechs. Soloing Kodiaks in a walking trash can is good times. :-)

Thank you as well for all the nice KDKs just focussing on their event scores and being easy prey.

360 points for Solo Killing the entire enemy team yourself
20 points for winning and surviving
leaves 120 points for damage done which means over 1800 points of damage/match.
Assuming in Tier 1 that people aren't solo killing entire enemy teams, and (I admit I'm in Tier 3) I don't see Kodiaks doing 2000 damage, ever, I am confused.
Are the top KDK-3 pilots just so much better than the rest of Tier 1 that they are shooting fish in a barrel?

The KDK-3 has 4 high mounted ballistic hardpoints.. That is 4 Clan UAC's! In the hand of a Tier 1 player, that means practically instant dead. (Especially, when MM mix Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 players... and because the newest DC-bug half of the enemy team stay at home..)
And, even, if some reason they don't kill the target.. With something like 4x C-UAC10.. they have with high possibility the KMDD (20 points) and the Kill Assaist (10 points).. (20 + 10 = 30) too..

I just had a match where a guy in KDK-3 got 567 points with 3 kills 7 assists and 900 dmg.

1-st bug blinking target lock
2-nd bug systematic QP disconnect
why we play Kodiak leader board event with this two epic bugs that do not allow to play effectively
- no hotfix... seriously???
fail fail fail event

Well, he had a lot of good games. Very very good games. Games that I have not seen outside the event
lets say
8 Kills - 80 Points
8 Kill Most Damage - 160 Points
8 Solo Kills - 240 Points
2 Assist - 20 Points
1200 Damage - 50 Points
Win -10 Points
Survive - 10 points
- 570 Points
Yeah well....
you know, there was a modus operandi in World Of Tanks, where ppl cheated by:
Getting a bunhc of players together (~40-50)
Wait for "ghost hours", like 4o Clock european servers
Sync Drop together in Quick Play
Get matched against each other
Farm damage, kills etc. so each one gets his share in turn
It would surprise me if there is nothing like this going on here, because 7+ solo kills per match is sth I have not seen in my gaming time here EVER, not to speak of 10+games on one weekend

I had ONE game today, where there were no issues, and because of that, your leaderbord event is just a FAIl, like Rakshaz already said.
In all the other games, some reconnected Kidoaks farmed the damage from the disconnected and got 1500+ damage, because they were disecting the mechs that did not shoot back. Kill Most damage and Solo Kill assured,...
So THATS the way its meant to be played? Besides the cheating issues I already mentioned, this whole event is about using glitches and "grey areas" of your game to profit. I think I need a serious break from this

Uh yeah that's because it has the quirks that the 1 and 5 lack, plus the real trump card, quad ballistics. You can drop the engine down to XL300 and free up tonnage to get Dire Wolf loadouts (2x gauss, 2x UAC10) with really high ballistic mounts. I watched a few streams this weekend (didn't play) and 900+ damage with a half dozen or more kills seemed trivial to the high end players using this build.
Much of the playerbase sees this as the real monster variant of the Kodiak, not the 11E variant that can't possibly use all those hardpoints effectively. Jumping to the conclusion that people are farming or cheating with no evidence is pretty poor behavior.
@Krellshand, you're calculating damage wrong. 1,200 damage would be 80 points not 50, so you could reach that 570 mark with a lot less than 1,200 damage per match. 800+ would get you there, and those 1k or more games would let you get there with a lot fewer than the 8 kills.

Sure ain't "made out of glass", that's for sure.
Maybe some day Clan pilots will learn how to split up energy weapon groups or chain fire - Kodiaks are pretty potent when they aren't just giving you the "carebear stare" in an overheat shutdown.
But I guess once you realize you can instagib anything smaller than an assault with a single volley, that backslash key begins looking pretty appealing...

If you have a Jenner IIC, you should have plenty of spare XL315 engines. Save yourself a fortune and try this KDK-3 (front load armor to taste, as always) Drop the engine enough and you suddenly need the crit space from FF more than you need the weight savings.
Oh and don't alpha the UAC10s more than you need to, a chain fire group for each torso isn't a bad way to do it. Can spam the trigger if you need to, but should help avoid ghost heat which adds up fast.
