there is also a module for advanced zoom
...but beware, when you zoom in you loose almost all of your peripheral vision and may end up shooting a friendly you can not see next to you because you are zoomed in.

I've noticed a FOV slider bar in the options, default seems to be set at 60, at least on mine.
Have you tried playing around with that at all?
I recall back a year or so, you'd have to alter the user.cfg file to adjust your FOV, could never get mine to work for some reason.

LOL, I don't think you did. Yes he said FOV but the Video shows Zooming using the advanced Zoom Module.

No it doesn't.
The Adv. Zoom module is a picture-in-picture zoom, as shown in this older video.
.
I believe the OP is referring to how you can see out of a good portion of the side cockpit windows on the locust vid he posted, as opposed to just seeing out the main window with a sliver of the sides.

Oh right... I stand corrected... Then its a normal Zoom but he has a Targeting Computer that increases the Zoom level.
Its still Zoom though and not FOV. You can not change the FOV on and off that fast like he was.

In game, settings (lower right) or head for training grounds, ESC key, Menu/settings/something. The slider is defaulted at 60. Move slider to the right to increase FOV, save then hit ESC again. Does it look okay? If not, go back in and move the slider left/right. The higher the number (moving slider to right) the farther back the POV is set.
If you have a customized user.cfg, you may want to open it and remove the FOV setting, if there is one.

Man, you're all over the place.
As far as I know IS Mechs, which the LCT is a part of, don't have Targeting Computers. So again, you're mistaken.
Maybe instead of assuming the OP is confused about things, you should just answer the question asked or refrain from commenting.
FOV adjustments allow for more peripheral vision, showing more or less of the side windows on your cockpit. Did you not notice that practically the entire side windows were visible in that LCT video?
Tarl Cabot explained exactly where to find the FOV setting, and how to use it.
Original question answered.

As you can tell from when the view is not zoomed in, the FOV is a bit larger than what normally is... to which I didn't find the right lever to adjust...

Failed my derriere.....
It is right on the primary setting page. /hands wipes so OP can clean the brown stuff from his eyes/glasses.. /hears a crunch sound...... sorry

Settings - IN THE LOWER RIGHT CORNER.. click on it with your mouse cursor, using your left mouse button (or right if ya left handed mouse)......
See youtube video, around 30sec mark. See that slider bar under the check boxes for Arm Lock, Enable Cockpit Glass, 3rd person, Throttle decay, disable tool tips, etc? It will have the words FIRST PERSON FOV... amazing......
FIRST PERSON FOV 60 ==================================120..xx Right under that is the MOUSE SETTING. Got it now?
While in combat or training grounds, hit the ESC key, click on Settings..

Mariks.. just like Barney the Dino..

The video also showed shooting and targeting and stuff. Didn't mean the question was about how to shoot or target. It was clearly stated he wanted to know how to increase the fov. but dude... what ever.

lower right on main screen , click settings
on the next screen that loads up, FOV slider near the top
if your using a 1080p screen , set your FOV to 87 (the yellow number at the end of the bar)
enjoy
your FOV is a value you should set based on your screen resolution
you can do it by eye easy enough, but a quick google should find you a guide on how to find your correct FOV setting for what ever rez you are using
*edit*
should of mentioned
take any guides you read with a grain of salt, as most will be written with a specific game in mind
and as all games use different settings/engines/techniques/scales to render the game then not all methods will give the correct result for MWO

I use a 15'', 720p and 60 FOV feels rather claustrophobic, thus I changed it to 75, that is better.

I can see 60 FOV on a 15" monitor... maybe. Provided I sit rather far away from it. I have a 21" that I use for gaming and usually run it at 100 to 115 FOV. That feels "comfortable" to me. If I ran MWO at 60 FOV on that, I'd feel like I'm going blind.
Some people tell me that my videos have a "fisheye" effect to it, but on the monitors I use, I never see it.
