I've been looking for a new Joystick for when beta opens up.
If some one has a good suggestion I would appreciate it.

The trusty old-school Microsoft Sidewinder Precision Pro or the Logitch Wingman Extreme has always served me well.

I have a Saitek X52 for flight sims but I prefer the fidelity of a good gaming mouse for MechWarrior games.

The Mek-Fu is definitely interesting but doesn't seem combat-viable - I don't want to take my hands off the action to use the throttle or go passive.

The Artemis screen just seems unnecessary cruft (one of the first things any gamer does is learn not to look at the keyboard, so why is this a thing?).

So, yeah. Razer Abyssus and a Razer BlackWidow keyboard. Precision & speed guaranteed.

You can also check out the Joystick thread(s) in the Hardware forum, which is where I'm moving this.

if this thing is as fragile as it looks, and if it costs as much as I think it is going to, then, it is not worth the price. I use a Saitek X52 Flight Control System. Pictured here:

its a wonderful stick, and has lasted nearly a decade.

Nice, it's a little out of my price range

Ya I've read a lot of reviews where people mention the Microsoft Sidewinder. To bad they don't make it any more.

I agree with you about razerzone
I've read reviews about the Saitek X52 where people talk about calibration problems with it.

it can be a bit cranky to calibrate using the control panel <computers CP that is> but, I rarely need to calibrate it, if it starts to drift some, just log out from the game, restart the computer and it will be back to normal <atleast it used to work that way for me back in SWG some years ago> But, it is an absolutely solid joystick and throttle set. Only issue I am having now, is more likely an issue with the USB slot in my computer, than the joystick. Stupid MFD on the throttle does not turn on some times, and have to replug it in a few times. but, i think thats my desktop, not the stick.

I like any joystick that has the ability to twist the handle. Mapping this to torso twist makes torso twisting and targeting much easier for me. There are some out there from logitech and saitek. Joysticks are hard to find in stores these days.

Thrustmaster T-1600m is (IMHO) the best stick in the sub $50 range... and iirc the only one with hall pots for less than a bill.

I've been running that setup for a while now, and they won't let you down!
