I once said the Night Gyr (aka SC spacemarine) was the ugliest mech I have ever seen...

I take that back, this POS of a mech is.

Annihilator can be made pretty. For example, this concept is wonderful on the eyes. It's the IIC version but you get the idea.

That's a very nice annihilator but too bulky for me

Just so long as PGI increases the engine cap to 300 instead of leaving it at 220...

*The common engine cap is stock engine multiplied by 1.1 for assault mechs

1.2 last I checked, it would carry a 240.

Which would still suck ballz.

DO WANT!

Really though I've wanted both the Annihilator, and the Devastator from day 1 so yeah...
Gimme Gimme Gimme Gimme Gimme Gimme Gimme Gimme Gimme Gimme Gimme

Edit
I like the pic that Bandito posted of the IIC version! For the IS version, just take that pic and make it more "round". Boom, a good looking Annihilator!

My logic was that lights were presumably 1.4x, so then I just subtracted 0.1 for each class. 1.3x meds, etc.

However, the maths do work out for the in-game assaults, so I dun derped.

The increment of -0.1 made more sense in my head than having L/M and H/A share the name multiplier...Posted Image

is good logic, only reason I knew "better" was recent post research. Otherwise I probably would have thunk the same.

It'd be fun to have that many guns but this'd be DoA without raising it's engine cap. I'd also be worried about how low it's arms & torso weapons are. It would need to be badly exposed to fire over hills & I don't think those arms would help much sadly. It'd need heavy quirking to survive.

Would making it skinnier than a grasshopper but a little taller be a problem?

The artwork doesn't really make it out to be skinny. Since it's 100t it'd need to be super tall to be skinnier than the Hopper but still look 100t. I'd hope for the arms to be higher to help spread DMG but idk what else there could be. The BK has low HP's because all of it's artwork gives it low HP's, the Annih would likely be in the same boat. :(

I have the idea of a beautiful mech, with low hardpoints and very large arms...

300 would certainly be closer to enough than 240.

If Alex can make the Viper / Dragonfly look pretty, he can make any mech looks pretty.

Low hardpoints didn't stop the Atlas and the Black Knight to be good. It's all in the quirks.

I don't think Quirks are going to protect someone from x4 ac20 or x6 UAC5

What do you mean? Annihilator's quirks, or something else?

I admit the main reason I want the annie released is reading forum posts exporting salt over its 33 kph stock speed.

That's for sure.
The speed can be quirked too.

How come Sarna doesn't have the Annihilator IIC listed?

Probably because it was experimental tech or non-canon chassis. There are references to Anni IIC in the net though, usually with a Quad Gauss config.

You are correct. Non-Canon.
