Hey!

I recently felt an itch to play MechCommander 2 again. I installed it, deleted badcard and vidcard, and ran it in compatibility mode for Windows XP SP3. Unfortunately, it crashes on launch, without ever opening a window. Did I miss a step?

Thanks.

I installed it normally on a machine with win 8.1.

Runs good.

I have compatibility set to Windows XP, service pack 2.

I feel compelled to note that clearly you are both just bad horrible people. Shame on you for wanting to do this let alone trying regardless of success or failure. Time runs one way for a reason kids. Just because PGI (as well as every other developer associated with the franchise) has more or less "phoned" it in on this title doesn't mean you need to go engaging Project Backstep. You should both be beaten vigorously. Unless, of course, you like that sort of thing in which case it should be with held :) Now, if you'll excuse me the network is whining about something and I'm pretty sure I need to go "boot" a server (yes that meant kick the **** out of it).
