How to you include pictures and youtube videos in forum posts?

I've noticed that there is this "My Media" button in the editor, but when I click the button, My Media Library is empty, and I can't find a way to add things...

Pictures and videos need to be uploaded to a third party site first. You can then embed it here by linking to said picture / video

My media is pretty useless.
Videos activate on their own.

Pictures require you to click on the tiny tree and feed a direct link to where the image is stored.

no dice. Do I use the basic link, or the "embed" link from Youtube?

Use the full link, not the link from "Share" box: like this "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nm76b8tzzWI" but without quotation marks.

For your next experience I suggest remembering something very important. Calm yourself. Don't panic. Just play.

Panicking is what gets the other guy killed. In an assault, if you are doomed to die you will know it. Simply accept it as you fight and take whoever you can with you.

Good luck.

from an android share box doesn't work.

Could anyone tell me how I can use screenshots I have put on imgur? The links there I cant use in my posts.

Not trying to hijack this thread by the way. it seems silly to start a new topic when there is already one made.

Thanks in advance.

By the way, if I try to click on the button you showed it doesnt do anything; I can paste the link in the box but it doesnt show anything .
But if I can put that link in my posts I am happy!

Try using the Quote feature to make sure the he knows you replied to him.

I find it doesn't work in Internet Explorer...switch to Firefox or Chrome if you normally run IE.

I am using firefox...
Also I noticed that when I try to paste the link in that Image window that pops up I get a red bar saying I dont have permission to use that feature or something like that...?

Doesnt matter. If I put the link alone in my posts its better for the topic/thread. Otherwise its all cluttered up.

Direct link to the image is the one that ends with .jpg. You can only post single images using the Image option. Can't do that with albums.
