Um.

The one in BATTLETECH is not a nuke... in MWO, the Long Tom was something that did 1,360 damage to a single target within 300 meters of the impact point, for all targets within that 300 meters, and then the damage gradually went down from there.

As such, it was...


Basically... anything at the time had less than 1200 total HP... So it instantly killed things. And that's after reducing its damage and preventing it from damaging the head.

As such it was removed from the game...

Now the BT version, you're correct it isn't a nuke its just artillery... that did at most 270 damage to at most 18 targets within a total 180 meters diameter.

300 meters "epicenter" with up to 800 meters shockwave... 1,360 damage to all targets within the epicenter... No maximum damage output in terms of how many enemies within that blast wave, meaning in terms of the game it could put 32,640 damage to players if all 24 players were within that blast area... not counting damage to turrets and key objectives.

Or BT's 30 damage in the 30 meter epicenter, 180 meters diameter, and 270 damage maximum spread across 18 maximum targets (assuming Mechs, you can double this for vehicles) in tabletop.
