I keep seing unbound as reference to a key press in mwo ...but cant find it. I'm totally confused

You can perform an "Unbound" keypress by hitting "Alt-Bound".

what is bound keypress ?
is it like a number key with weapon on it? bound to a weapon, or some other key with a bound function to it?

Oh god... so much possibility with this thread. Is it a joke topic? Is it serious. In either case, does it deserve a serious reply (even ironically) or a joke reply?
I'm going to go with a serious reply to a serious topic, and pretend it was done ironically if the topic proves to be a joke later.
Anyway... "unbound" means you have not set a key-press binding for that control. It means that in your particular control scheme, the keyboard/mouse/peripheral action to perform that function has not been assigned, or "bound." In your controls menu, that action is blank.
If you had bound the key-press "F" to whatever action the loading card was talking about, it would have said something akin to "Press 'F' to activate yadda yadda." But because you have nothing there, it says "unbound."

It means there isn't a key currently bound to that command. You can bind one in the settings menu.

yes, I was serious, I was looking for a key named bound in the F1 thing, didnt realize it was an action to take in keyboard section. so thanks all, issue solved
