I used a saitek x-52 for mercs and loved it, when i stopped playing the game the stick went into storage has been there for about 6 years now. I recently unpacked it in prep for MWO and to check it still worked. Other than a little dust and the need for a few updated drivers it seems to be fine. If you can find one id highly reccomend it. Its a great stick and you can map almost every possible function to it. During my NBT days during a drop my hands never needed to touch the keyboard.

Another vote for the X52 here. I had an X52 Pro for years and it served me well, aside from having to clean out the rudder twist potentiometer a couple of times (warranties? who needs warranties?). I've since upgraded and passed it along to a friend, but it's still humming a long nicely.
