With the Butterbee coming out & also the fact we have two Dragon heroes, I was thinking, why not have two heroes per mech? Maybe someone loves a chassis but hates the hero? Options are good. It'd also be easy money, PGI would only need to create the new variant & a paint scheme.

I'd also like to point out that we have several mechs that don't even have a single hero variant. They should get priority.

Do you agree? What ideas do you have for new hero mechs?

More content is welcome, ofc., and will come sooner or later for sure. But this is the more current question.

World of Tanks already made the mistake and, until politics were adjusted in 2016, released content forgetting what is really important.

I'd rather they made heroes for mechs that don't have them yet.

I would give priority to those chassis without a hero.

However if PGI does two heroes they should be evenly distributed according to the faction alignments if possible, i.e. one for Kapteyn powers and one for the FedCom powers in case of the IS. (It is a bit more difficult in case of the Clans as technically only one Clan is Warden and the rest are Crusaders, though it could be argued that Ghost Bear is beginning to shift).

I mentioned in the second paragraph that some mechs still need their first hero.

2016, not 2012. Gold ammo is available for silver since about 2012.

sounded like that might be what they have in mind, but I guess no hard confirmation.

I would love to see them release the Grand Dragon and then add a Takashi Kurita hero, for instance. Hanse Davion Battlemaster. Jaime Wolf Archer. Cameron St. Jamais Awesome. etc.

More income for PGI, minimal programming effort, meaning hopefully less time taken away from non revenue generating content.

Too many people demonize the Mech Packs (which do need adjustment) but it's the most realistic way to make money for the game, as most of the content liek CW and Maps doe snot generate revenue, and bills do not pay themselves.

Hero Zeus
Posted Image
the LRMs to me still fit how I envision him, hit and run and striking from a distance.

But from an MWO perspective, it also translates to:

EndoSteel
360XL + MASC (78 kph before MASC)
13 DHS
464 armor
AC10 with 3 tons ammo (LT)
2x Medium Lasers (CT)
4x SRM4 w/6 tons of ammo (RA/LA)

or for those who are better shots than I, remove 1 ton of AC10 ammo, and 2 tons of SRM and either go up to a 375xl (81.6 kph), or add 3 more DHS (a better trade off, IMO).

To me? That would be a Hero I'd buy in a heartbeat. Different enough loud out potential from stock, cool feature (MASC). Finally have a replacement for the VTR in the mobile assault brawler department again.

would gladly take a Frederick Steiner one as the second hero, too. Call it the "Hammer" after his nickname.

I like cavalry Mechs and I like the Zeus, so a cavalry Zeus would be a dream!
The Skokomish may get the heavy movement archetype (like the Rifleman got medium movement archetype) to reflect Stealth's grace.

Curiously, although the SBHS mentions him being a Zeus expert, he is using an Atlas in the 4th SW already. And he continued to do so after becoming Anastasius Focht. So in 3053 he'd be more of an Atlas hero.

However if one includes past Mechs, Frederick might have been a good choice for a Phoenix Hawk hero as he piloted one early in his career.

Was that a retcon with Fred?

I don't really recall his mech as Focht ever realyl being touched in older material since he was not really a hands on pilot during the Blood of Kerensky trilogy. And I don't recall his mech being listed actually in the Warrior trilogy. *shrugs* Way too much to keep up on, TBH.

He is given an Atlas AS7-D in the Battlepack Fourth Succession War, scenario 8: In the Claw of the Dragon, dealing with his assault on Dromini VI. Pretty fun scenario actually.

An Atlas is also mentioned in the Tukayyid Scenario Book, especially Battle for Tamo Bunker, but of course in the 'real' battle Focht had no need to use it. This time it was an AS7-K (or a personal modification of it).

The Tukayyid book is from 1994 and the 4th SW book from 1998; both still FASA time. I almost suspect they had simply forgotten about the Zeus in the old handbook... But it could have been a deliberate choice too.

the 94 one I probably forgot about...by 98 I had IRL keeping me from reading everything, plus I believe it was 3rd Ed MW era... which I found pretty MEHtastic.

What's funny about even 94 is it's 4 years AFTER the scenarios was actually played out, lol. Still as Focht, after his time with Kurita and as the Precentor Martial I could see an Atlas, though a dual cockpit one makes most sense to me.

As Frederick Steiner, I think that was a either typical bad copy editing from FASA or a deliberate retcon. A Pity they did that so often. I mean the character had only ceased to exist as Frederick Steiner literally a decade before.

So, Jumpjet Kingcrab with 8 Energy points (2 in each hand and 4 on the righside torso) + 4Missiles (left side torso)
I wonder if it will hover better than the hoverlander.

I love owning Heroes for the Cbill boost. I adore the way they are currently adding one or two Heroes with the new packs but would like them to increase the number of the little beasties per chassis to allow Lore hounds to buy their favourite pilots ride or let those of us who like the bonus to have more variety.
