Felt like I was watching a Powerpoint presentation with the lag I kept seeing. Video quality was terribad even on high or source. Commentators were okay, though sounded a little biased at times, especially discussing loudouts. Who are these guys anyway? They aren't even PGI from the looks of it. NGNG maybe? Would've expected Phil or Daeron if that was the case. At least they know how to stream. Either get them to do these, or PGi themselves. Not some nobodies I never heard of before. It's an official tournament held by an official company. If anything I would expect it to look professionally done at least.
1) We apologize for the stuttering on Friday's stream- unfortunately this was a disruption in service from Time Warner Cable, nothing we can do about that other than possibly call and complain (and seeing as it's an ISP, I'm sure they're plenty used to ignoring complaints).
2) In discussing loadouts- both BanditB17 and myself are competitive drop callers with 4+ seasons of competitive MWO play under our belts. We strive to play at the highest level, and as such the loadouts we are most familiar with are those that are designed for use at such a level of play. I apologize if we seem biased, but in competitive play the loadouts we favor tend to be those that are most effective. Not saying others aren't effective, just that the ones we "favor" tend to be more so.
3) Neither of us are PGI or NGNG staff. We're simply two guys who love to play MWO competitively, and have some experience (about 8+ months worth) of casting competitive MWO. We were recommended to PGI to be the shoutcasters, and they were gracious enough to allow us to do it. So far, we've had a ton of fun with it.
4) As for making it look professionally done, unfortunately things behind the scenes meant that the beginning of the tournament happened rather suddenly for us. We do try and make our casts as professional and entertaining as possible, with as many features as we can, but both Bandit and I work full time jobs, and didn't get home to prepare very early on Thursday/Friday. I think we did a better job improving some things on Saturday, and we'll have even more for the viewers with the upcoming casts this week. I hope you'll watch and enjoy it.
