While at first it must have seemed a great idea, to join forces against Harmony and flip a collective bird, in their direction, which most of us here applauded, these days with endless HBS battle tech references, and how people are looking forward to it, calling it the future of the franchise, and endless and for the most part justified criticism, of his product, it must really stick in his throat.

BUT
Being overall smaller makes the STs smaller by extension, so it's a slight improvement I will take. Really want them to drop the missile quirks on the dragons as well and beef up the current ones. The missile ones are wasted.

Note to movie producers: if you're going to make a movie out of a beloved franchise, make sure the director is an all-out fan of the material. Peter Jackson was a big Lord of the Rings fan and that's why the LotR trilogy turned out alright. Jar Jar Abrams stated for the record that he wasn't a big Star Trek fan.

I don't think they care. Look at the complete garbage they are putting out based on beloved franchises. *cough*Ghostbusters*cough*.

This. I'll play both and I also think that it will benefit BT in general, which is very good.

Honestly, so many of them sound exactly like the trolls that used to complain about starwars galaxies. They seemed to no longer like the game, or like barely enough to still play, but got more happiness from bashing the devs and the game because it wasn't their vision. They also were all to happy to endlessly go on and on how SWTOR was going to be the best starwars game ever, and the answer to all their problems..
Well that didn't happen. While i don't have an issue with SWTOR, i never played it that much, but i find it a nice nitch group PVE game, get a few buds and go play Starwars based RPG. But It was certainly not anywhere near the same game that SWG was, and it certainly wasn't the answer to most players. Then again, there still isn't a game that was what SWG was outside of the EMU, and that is just a shade of what the game had become. So many never bothered to play it past the NGE, so had no clue what it became 8+ years Post.. but still had to deal with the criticism by people that hadn't even played it in years and still had their panties in a wad
the New battle tech game to me is exactly that. They are both so differnt, why can't they both exist? And if some think the HBS one is the king of battletech, ok.. i hope it works out for them. But why people are saying a turn based squad game is going to be the nail in the coffin for a FPS is beyond me. Maybe it will be the answer to their prayers, then that is fine.. I just hope they finally move on to something they love, and let those of us that really enjoy this game play, grow a positive community and hope it continues on for us to enjoy a long time.
I am also a turn based strat gamer, and I love the old mech commander games, But neither are going to fill the same nitch. It's like Starwars,, I could play X-wing vrs tie fighter, SWTOR, Kotor, and what ever that RTS is called.. all starwars, zero overlap.. they both can happily exist.
10 days to go....
(PS, DS9 was my fav by a small bit, Love the ferengi! But after rewatching them all last year, voyager has moved up into the top slot.. and by that i mean a very small margin. To me they are all wonderful

that was an IGP thing... PGI jumped that ship before it went under.. Now they are working with HBS which should be a far better game. I am really hoping that the two companies can work together and improve both games.. aka, people spending money on the HBS game, will give some money to PGI, maybe their writers, and other art assets can be shared.. both games can work together and flourish in my eyes.

Sharing artwork isnt the only thing they are doing,

we've already seen CGL is helping write in some heros for MWO,
and their is a Rumor that HBS is helping PGI behind the Scenes on something Big,
of course Rumors need to be proven, but even so its interesting to think about,
