I wait with bated breath. While I understand that this was the best move for Piranha to get out of limbo after two years with no support, a F2P MMO is hardly a reboot to a series, and the F2P pricing structure is a near-surefire way to break a game's balance (and, by proxy, how fun the game is). I have seen countless games fall flat because of poor Cash Shop balance, and to see MechWarrior approaching that same fate, forced to walk the line between profit and catastrophic failure... it's dangerous.

I'm still going to try it, and it may or may not be good, but I sincerely hope this is just a stepping stone Piranha is using to help fund the true reboot. Adrian Kohl deserves better.

I'm a bit confused.
From what I gather, S&T/Piranha-Games is making 2 MechWarrior games.
This one (MWOnline), and a multi-platform release game (including xbox 360)(MechWarrior 3015//Mechwarrior 5).
The latter one had some problems with the unseen warhammer in the trailer.

Well, I have also been waiting for quite some time for such a game to be made.
I am somewhat... apprehensive about it being an online game, yet that is still better than nothing.
Would have preferred a proper retail game, even though that would cost me to buy it, but this will do.
When it comes out next year, anyway.
Edit: Also, I am getting confused, as to what the above post says.
The sources I look at for data are limited, so I am not sure if this was the game being hinted at for two years, or if there are two, etc.
