MASC isn't a terrible concern with the way it is built in MWO, and the Flea is hardly going to be considered overpowered because of it.

Seriously if they can sell Us a mascot mech like the Urbanmech then why not the Flea?

The speed is LOWER than the Locust, even with masc. I've pointed it out before.'

Short story. The Fleas seems to have more hardpoints and shorter profile than the Locust. Which means shorter side profiles. Also it got a bit higher mounts. And most important.

Game engine... that shield of an excuse are NOT amusing. I need a full explanation there of why not.
I know the speed limit in MWO are, what? 170-180 km/ph? Thats what the engine can take at max?

Honestly I doubt they'll sell enough for IRL $$$ to cover the cost of development.

I have been asking for the flea since Phoenix Package but hopes have been dashed when Russ said we already have the locust.

This was my feeling also, when I made that 3d model and put it up so people could use it for printing minis.
So it's a bit funny (but not at all surprising) to see it used by the pro-flea movement.

Yeah, release the Flea. And, while you're at it, release the Mackie as well.
Add in some Ost Series mechs and you can have a TrashTierJunkMech-4Pack that you can spend $180 bucks on.

In the past PGI used the weapons a mech was equipped with to determine hard points.
Example, AC/20 got 2, Atlases D and D-dc. AC/10 or Gauss, one. Atlas R's and k.
Large laser, 2 energy (Atlas Rs.). Medium laser, one.

So.

Hard point sizes.
Mechs become more unique with only some limits in variety. Having the ability combine two hard points to make a larger one would also help (2 medium energies together to make a large or split into a smaller hard point).

Been a lot of requests for this.
Locusts don't generally have large slots though they have enough to make some if need be. The Flea however is a Slower mech that has bigger weapon slots.

Why isn't this already a thing?
