Nice to see that the entire pgi staff is following this...."thing", done for always the same 30-40 skilled players.
And is disregarding the needs of rest of community.

E-sport at the highest level.

Yep, my thoughts exactly. And when some of these "skilled" players cheat, not all of them get banned. Well..

How do you tell if someone's cheating? The hit reg is so bad I'm not sure how you could be sure. I mean, if there are tools to cheat let me know so I can at least understand how they operate.

Looking forward to watching! I saw most of the matches last weekend (on replay, not live) and thought the announcers did a great job!

One known comp player has been caught cheating and has been banned. Of the remaining players banned in the ban wave, non were comp players of any note at all.

Over 100 teams (of minimum of 8 players each) signed up for the tournament. That's at the very least 800 people, and that's an absolute minimum. The real number is probably upwards of 1000 players. Hardly 30-40. That being said, PGI is still maintaining the monthly patch routine as usual. I don't think any development work is affected by the community manager posting an announcement about a cast of the tournament.

So...why are people mentioning about cheaters in this thread? Was someone caught cheating during the last set of streams?

On that note.. PGI does need to ban any found, regardless of how popular they are in the comp scene, make youtube videos, etc. Banning the well known players that have also been caught won't hurt the game, NOT banning all cheaters found WILL. Apparently Blizzard banned over 1000 players for cheating during (or was it after) the first week of Overwatch release. Granted, it's Blizzard, they got the money, but still, it's about integrity here. The worse a game is known for cheaters, the worse the population becomes.
