Hello

I recently read that some players use voice activation for some aspects of their mech.

I was curious if anyone could recommend to me a good program to set this up for functions like switching vision modes and perhaps chain fire or opening missile bay doors.

Bumping the thread for amusement. I think I am gonna experiment with voice activation myself. Bound to give me some immersion PGI had failed to provide.

I usually yell out things like "Switching to Thermal" or "Bomb bay doors open" when I hit the corresponding keys on the keyboard anyways.

I was just thinking that instead of sitting in a chair and wasting air, the yelling might actually achieve something.

I see Voice Attack often used in the Elite-Twitchstreams (Londongaming4fun i.e.) as it is a very convenient way to control many aspects of your ship, its really nice.
Imo in MWO there is not enough stuff to hassle with the Setup but when you like it that way do it so.
I do not consider it cheating as it is still upon the Pilot to time and activate your stuff.

I think it should be fine for firing LRMs and toggling AMS. Override would be great too.

all these "shouting" commands and ts dont work well. haha. think it will induce flipping keyboard rage quit more. lol. "engaging enemy at e6. need Alpha Alpha chain Alpha override bay door full speed ejecting" xD

Could be a nice gimmick, too slow to fire guns though. Xetelian this is not about Macros, there are two obnoxious thread about them already.

That is a video I made just after the EXE came out to show someone how it worked (not great showmanship). My VA profile is a little more sleek now as I am constantly tweaking things.

I used voice activation for override back when you had to override each time you overheated because screaming OVERRIDE! was tons of fun.

lol. That would be the worst.
'Push to talk' for TS/GV/Any VOIP should mandatory.
