Excellent. Glad to see they were able to keep that promise. Should bring some profits, given MWO's prices for cosmetic items.

By the way... is there any chance they'll actually be visible from beyond 200 meters? Posted Image

It's going to be pictures of house badges, Piranha skulls, Face shots of Russ and Paul.

You want us to get worked up over that ?

At around what? 400 MC a pop or one for each variant of a chassis for 1300? Can't imagine they will be much cheaper than camo or colors, and may very well cost more.

Edit: of course because most of us are suckers, we will buy em any way.

If it is on your back or side, your lance might notice it when you first start the match.

This is the same reason I don't understand why people so desperately want custom geometry.

Even paint jobs are barely noticed unless they are very outlandish.

It's mostly for staring at your own mechs in your mechbay, to be honest.

(And i'd buy the living sh*t out of it! From Wolverine's Chin turrets, Atlas's skulls, Catapult's Noses to Centurion's Mohawks!)

It might be worthwhile on slow mechs. You know, it might distract the lights when they try to read it while shooting in your bum ;) haha

Some custom geometry is very visible, like the Catapult nose or the different Atlas skulls. Hellbringer arms are very visible. But I agree, most of it was pointless. But that's because PGI decided to do pointless things with a lot of custom geo. "Let's give the Timber Wolf some... smooth legs!" Not exactly the stuff of dreams, is it?

Beacuse finally people can show off they're groups decal in CW and such

Only that groups have been hermoraging players
and CW seems a bit, well empty
Also custom decals are coming later, probably

So yeah
"Exciting times" indeed
