Needs a third. And it needs to be on an added Grand Dragon variant to help offset the rescale. I DEMAND!!!!! (well, ask nicely) for a Takashi Kurita Grand Dragon.

And i demand giving the Dragon a raised arm!

It looks good, I bet the dragon will look pretty sweet as well. Perhaps even new geometry!

Rescale/remodel looks pretty good, but other than showing off that they are FINALLY rescaling the Catapult, I can't see why they're introducing a second Catapult Hero variant. I stopped buying mechs some time back and quit the game for a long while - do any other chassis have two Heros?

(Edit: Answered my own question just after posting - Sarah and Oxide, Fang and Flame...d'oh! Still don't see a real need for another Catapult Hero.)

Phoenix Hawk will also have two heros.

I was curious if they were going to do a snake theme (butterbee is a kind of python). I like it better then the Cobra camo.

A serious question.

Do the missile boxes in the image match the load-out shown there?
It is showing 2 srm6s per arm... yet there are 35 tubes on each arm.

Static weapon geometry, or just mismatched image and stats?

I'm fine with it having that many tubes all the time because the previous 'alternative' was ridiculous.

In my opinion, almost all of the old mechs need hardpoint inflation. The idea that all mechs can be fixed by quirks is just a pipedream. They need to level the playing field. You can call it power creep, but there's no benefit in having 30% of the mechs in the game as obsolete.

Agreed. Can somone ask Russ about that on Twitter? Would be nice for some Hardpoint inflation. Hope it dosent dent the lore specifics too much? Were the amount of hardpoints in lore more or less to what we have now?

The Camo I'm a little disappointed with I expected more bumblebee and less scalely, but I suspect that Russ had a hand in this as he sounded like he had a personal dislike of this Hero when he talked about it on town hall, but I'm sure I can change that look, with more yellow and black or dark brown.

ummm.... Have you tried googling Butterbee?

Concerned about the huge number of tubes as well. Other than that, I love this rescale and new hero.

If it comes down to 35 fixed tubes in each arm or the horrible legotastic launchers they ruined the Centurion with, which is the lesser evil?

Let's hope they just made images of the wrong Cat, and the tube counts really are dynamic (and look good).

The A1 has 40 tubes per arm, so I'm not too disturbed by the prospect of 35 tubes...

Anyone notice the extra squat in the legs after the rescale?

Bodes well for the EBJ, MDD, and TBR. Russ said they'd be looking at squatting some mechs that stand too upright. Looks like the Catapult is the first of those.

gee...only been asking him to do that to the MDD since it was revealed.

LITERALLY.

So maybe 2 years later I'll finally get my wish. Pity that 2 years later, the Summoner is still going to be hot trash.

Sadly, no matter how many people PGI puts on the roster, the game can't change overnight. But it's nice to see some long-needed issues getting fixed. I hope the Catapult is a sign of change, as it seems that mech seems to take note of all the wants of the community since its release... hoping, of course, that we have actual dynamic geo for the arms, and aren't stuck with 35 tubes.

It's nice to see that PGI is communicating again too after such a long silence from the team... more useful info in 2 days out of Russ than the previous few months.

yeah but that does set up the risky P2W argument...and this time give it teeth. IMO,ther.e

They could in same time lower theirs price about old mechs package (like clan invasion) some people would be ok for buy a timber pakage at 15 bucks only for get timber with 30%cbills bonus even they have already 4 of them. but 35 dollars lol ... well pretty sure they dont sell more than 100 per year when they could sell 1000 with a lower price.
Also they want money or they don't IMO they don't and more they wait people leave less they will have money even they lower it ( which they will do close to the end )

For make lots of money even with lots of Cbills mechs avaiable they could provide us a balanced game i mean quirks heat between ISvs clans stuff like that and with more contents people will leave less and pay more.
Even if they cant do this becose too many things to balance and they dont want listen players ok i am fine with that .. they could give more modes to play which allow them a poor balance but fairs gamemodes in same time.
I think about solaris ( with same mechs vs mechs or totally random whatever players will play what they like more ), stock 3025 mode ( only IS easy to balance ) or even trials of refusal mode ( only Clan also easy to balance ).

Ok people will told me playerbase is to small, i will respond BT fans are there and they only wait a proper BT game to play even we are few at beginning most of vets are ok to wait 10 minutes for a game... and if pugs get a balanced and fair game they will stay if they like mechs or futurist WoT-like.
I mean as compagny you have to choose if you want invest for get more customers after or if you want pressure customers wallet and wait they leave ( what is doing PGI since years now).

PGI is small yea, but smalls compagny with a nice IP, a noticable IPfanbase who give them lots of time and lots of money is rare..
If its too big for them ok fine they have to take responsabily and find a parter or sell IP i dont know.
Anyway i dont know why i say all this olds things they don't read or don't care whatever and its too late.
