It needs to really be looked at and rebuilt from the ground up, scouting was a good idea, but how you won it, andwhat it caused, just brought about less people playing it, the RNjesus gun, doesn't make the game tense, it makes it frustrating.
Taking planets needs to mean something, it needs to effect an economy, making parts for mechs more or less expensive, not handing out a few pennies, in the form of MC and thinking its a good job done, Armoured warfare, give out 50 gold to EVERY player for simply logging into the game five days running, you don't even have to play a match if you don't want to.
Unit coffers should be there for sensible things, not to justify insane costs to join a unit, you want to invade a planet, you pay for it in C-bills, to travel there, you win the planet, you get some or all back, you fail, you lose the lot,you use the coffer to buy mech parts that the unit can put on their mechs,
These costs should also effect prices in quick play, you want to have a cheap commando, you either hope the FW players get the right planet, or you join in and help take it.
The maps, why doors ? why ?
the maps should have far less channels, they shouldn't be one sided you want generators to shield the gun, that's good but why are they in the same place, so that the same old same old tactic's get used on each map, change the positions so the attackers have to find them (Scouting anyone), stick some turrets around them.
This opens up so many more tactical options for attack and defence, with regard to death balling, splitting forces, making people think your after one thing and then a quick switch, at the moment all that has to be done is a scout crawls up a wall and tells us which gate they're going for.
Even using a system like the one that was part of warhammer online pvp would be far superior to what we have now, which is bland and one dimensional.
The other options I just don't see any use for in this game, if chosen, would arrive far to late, or we already have, by another name,
How is changing to another engine, going to make balancing any easier, or F.W less bland ?
How does solaris make arena fighting any less repetitive than Q.P I've just never seen the attraction, want a free for all, open a private match, does having a cheering crowd and a leader board make it anything more than what we have now ?
Tech time jump, same again, a few people will get their favourite mech with new weapons that are even harder to balance, does having another mech to add to the 300 plus we can have make the game any better ?
PvE taking the other developer two years to produce a game with a story in it, so if P.G.I pull out a PvE in the same time scale is it going to keep people here, or make people play again ?
I think that solaris will happen and I think it will just be a niche in a niche game, and like many things added it will peak for a month and then mr/s average will go play QP again. when it dawns on them that only about 50 people have a chance of being champions, and maybe the next 150 getting runner up status, it will though prove more popular with FW in it's current feeble state.
Change game engine, that will happen , as certain people like to tinker and mess with things rather than fix meaningfull problems with WMO
