QuenBlade, first of all thanks for the captain sheet, it is most helpful.

But I wonder how reliable the info about withdraw teams is. Teh reason why I am asking is that I see teams marked there as having withdrawn that did not post in the 'withdrawing from the tournament' thread.

e.g. the sheet shows 54th Hunters as having withdrawn. Where does that info come from since I do not see a post of them in the forum? or did they post in the forum, just not in the threar that I am checking daily?

They posted it here:

And QueenBlade said to them they need to confirm it in the offical thread.

While I maintain a more up to date version than PGI, my sheet is NOT the official information to conduct your tourney business. If you are unsure if a team has been removed by PGI, then you will want to check http://mwomercs.com/mwowc2016/teams

Yes there will be times that my document appears different from PGI, but that is because I keep it more up to date than PGI.

Edit: And until PGI has changed their status on the teams page, your team will be required to show up at the official time schedule regardless if your opponents withdrew the night before. You can probably show the post or chat logs to the referee but just take note that you will still want to make sure you have an 8man ready.

This is not an official PGI statement!

Just to clarify that... if the TEAM CAPTAIN withdraws his team in the appropriate thread, it is counted as a forfeit in advance with informing the other team. So technically as long as it is in the right thread and done by the team captain, you don´t have to show up for those matches. If you are unsure whether you should be there or not, you should ask a ref in advance, if possible.

But keep in mind that outside of the scheduled match times (Thursday, Friday, Saturday) you might not find a ref there.

oh, I did not plan to take the captains sheet or this thread here as official... but it is still a good pointer regrding which games to worry about and which ones to not worry about ... I was just curious, because honestly I only monitor the match organisation thread with its sub threads

and I too could not avoid noticing that the PGI info is lagging abit behind regarding reflecting withdrawals posted in the correct thread ...

I check each day once if PGI has updated the list of teams respectivel the schedule

Theory question:

If you loose against another team and that team withdraws later on, is your loss switched to a win because of the withdraw?

Yes. My team (MercsOfVega) lost to both NS teams, but those losses were converted to wins after they both withdrew.

Hey Queenblade, I see no mention of it in the official thread, but Muthr_swukers shows as being stricken from the tourney (at least on their schedule, it shows them as having all losses moving forward) Just an FYI

They were DQ'd finally for their no shows. Instead of withdrawing they forced at least three teams to show up ready to play where they didn't show up at least. Class act guys.

What you need a unit count in that list (of the total teams in said division).

That'll bring better context to the rest that don't realize how many units that happen to be left.

for NA it is as of july 25th (including not yet confirmed by PGI ones, also including 54th WolfPak, who just posted their withdrawal)) 41 teams out of 82 .. or 50% .. and it is 8 weeekends played out of 19 tournament weekends (counting the official end of the qualifiers as sunday october 9th) ...

I can honestly say that my team, 1FSAC [Fish Sticks Are Crunchy], is not apart of this madness. We're just not that good enough to pull off a win. Besides, we're too busy fighting with NTEX too much :)
