All these clan guys loving that IS getting another nerf not realizing that when IS guys quit playing or swap to clan mechs its gonna get real boring fighting the same 10 mechs with meta builds. We want diverse viable mechs and clan just want easy mode.

Ps its funny all these guys with clan icons talking about salt whenyou would be complaining just as bad if your mechs got the same treatment. The balance was fine but you huys whined and the dev swung the nerf bat.

70% of my mechs are IS, I care not to waste life complaining about buff/nerfs of make believe items.

or what? And yeah, I'm Jade Falcon because I like them lore wise but that doesn't mean that I haven't any IS mechs. I think I'm owning more IS than clan mechs.

Really, what happenend the last days shows me how stupid many guys are. Just wait for the patch and play before you whine like little kids.

Yes, the 5% nerf isn't worth any discussion.
And thats the problem. Why is it made? It's a feature with almost now means.
It's about all those clanboys whinig about op-IS-Mechs.
Now those guys may have the feeling, that their whining had been heared.
And that is the real problem. Whinig of some results in the whining of other.
So, who had the right to throw the first stone....

seriously there was already a "zoom" able minimap in game - called BATTLEGRID.
At least the contrast looks better.

Well most Mechs got bigger and those that got smaller doesn't matter much. Only issue would be the "feel" a bigger Zeus wouldn't feel right. Given its cockpit height i fear it will feel like a Grashopper (and i usually feal very tired when running a Grasshopper with 350 engine - while the same engine on the Zeus is pure speed)

I'm glad the volumes have been standardized. Hopefully the next patch won't be far away to bring balance tweaks as any potential problems arise.

While I understand the thought behind the rescales, I don't know if most of them were really...let's say...practical for a game like MWO. On the other Hand it's nice to see that for once PGI tries to change the quirks on a smaller base instead of using big numbers as usual. We'll see how this plays out.

I've been reading through this thread, and others over the months since i've finally installed the game (March 2016), and am blown away at the level of complaint in the population.
Sure, broken promises are just that, and over years more broken promises multiply the discontent with a developer.

My only input for this topic is this:

Some of you must have forgotten the atrocities that were brought on by Mektek in the end days of Mercs and MWL. There we had zero input and were forced to adapt if we wished to continue playing. The balance you all seek was non existent!

Yes, there are some mechs both IS and Clan that are a pain in the ***, with their various structures and quirks but there is always a caveat. IE: Kodiaks have weak rear armor, and are further front loaded by 99% of the users.

Play it when it drops and report findings. Aside from CW concerns( which may or may not be warranted, clan Mechs are supposed to be a little better than IS counterparts), most of the last ten pages was crap.

PS: More maps please.. Lunacy and Frostbite would be nice!

  • New Mini Map and BattleGrid
  • New Cockpit Items
  • New Badges and Titles
  • Faction Play Fixes and Changes
  • Gameplay Fixes and Changes
  • Map Fixes and Changes
  • 'Mech Fixes and Changes
  • MechWarrior Academy Fixes and Changes
  • Other Fixes and Changes

And about Known Issues - Command Wheel is a obviously new thing, it needs to be ironed out of bugs. ;)

About what's bad in my opinion:
  • Quick Play Leaderboards
Seriously PGI? Everyone are just laughing at me when I'm playing FP and they're watched my position in the leaderboard (about 3,5k and still moving down). It would be great to include option to opt-in for both, instead of forcing everyone to start in the "'Mech competition". What a shame...

PS: I'm not crying about that. Just I'm disliking the whole idea of comparing everyone with everyone. I came to MwO to get some fun - kill once or twice, get killed a bazillion times, do the same with friends and say "gg" with everyone. Not to get kicked out from unit because my position is too low for example.

PPS: I'm recalling that I wrote the same thing about the FP Leaderboards. I'm not changing my mind.

honestly, the Firestarter is SUPPOSED to be that big. it's a 35-ton mech. it should be comparable in height to a Cicada.

Crazy, i thought a public forum is for general discussion and giving each other an opinion. I did, but you wrote nothing productive. So i wouldnt be so confident about laughs if i were you...

Its also not only about +- 5 % nerfs, Quickdraw 5K for example lost ALL his energy quirks.

And we dont have to see this too detailed:

Its hard like **** to stand against Jade Falcon in FP. And it doesnt matter if i am in a solo pug or in a skilled unit. Sure with an unit, we can (normally) beat most of the pugs, but with more or less same conditions, we are ******. Always.

I almost wish that if they really insist on all these changes, they wrap them up w/ heat 2.0 so at least everybody is miserable... what is going to happen is a month of IS pointing the finger at clams with much weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth, then next month it will be reverse flow'd when the clans get hammered more than IS on heat 2.0


Its a shame b/c apart from a few minor tweaks (looking at you, oxide) i don't know that any adjustments are warranted.

My feeling is that the issues w/ CW3 had more to do with game mechanics than actual mechs...

Don't let the fact that i am currently green chicken fool you, i am a merc, i play both sides and see the strengths and weaknesses for both sides.

If they want to quirk things, just add quirks to crappy mechs so both sides have more options.

so yeah ... Locust ... really ? Not like this thing is ******* frustrating and pretty much impossible to hit allready .... And wont the smaller size make it even harder for your ****** up engine to register hits correctly ?

You can stop improving "Terra Therma", "Caustic Valley", "Forest Colony" or "River City". Thanks to the voting mechanism, people will never get to see these maps, let alone the work you´ve put into them. Posted Image It´s the same four maps all day long for everybody.

Look, I'd be okay with Atlas nerfs in any department BUT structure and armour. Because that works against the design an purpose of the mech. And the K buffs won't help it become more popular.
