Player model without elemental exosuit actually barely fits in most mechs as is, let alone before the Locust rescale.

Yeah, thats how you know the thing is to small, just put an average 6 foot person next to it and see if they even fit.....

Not to threadjack, but the idea of ejecting with an RPG or small missile launcher would be really cool. The benefit to ejecting is that you get a one-shot SRM, and maybe a rifle (let's space magic this and say it pops out with your seat). Imagine, you get killed but the enemy is cherry red. You grab your recoil-less rifle and line up a shot, manage to land it CT and put him down. This would in 99.999% of cases never happen, but it'd give you something to do and try for before the match ended. You'd be super slow, easy to kill, especially with MGs or flamers, and it would add an interesting element to the game post-mech destruction.

If they figured out a way to work this, then eventually, maybe...we could play as elementals (dare to dream).

I don't think most mechs have the space in the cockpit to allow for the pilot and a RPG/OS-SRM1....

Just for argument's sake, a 2m (6ft) tall human can easily fit inside a 8m (26ft) tall, 25-ton mech. After all, we fit quite comfortably in 1.5m (5ft) tall, 1.5 ton cars. The cockpit of a modern fighter jet is amazingly cramped by comparison to even the Locust.
