Its like hes got something nasty on his hips and wants to keep his hands away from it. Looks like you will have an easier time hitting torsos, now they can be hit from below the arm and above the shoulder.

I don't like it but it does look like it brings the laser mounts up and out slightly for certain models.

Tweet Russ about it. It worked for fixing the WHM head at the last minute and getting the EBJ squatted down more at the last minute.

While you are at it, please also ask them to squat the Marauder down like the CPLT, TBR, and MDD, please.

Figure the new arm position will work great for elbowing smaller mechs out of the way, oh, and clipping the sides of inconsiderate rude obstacles such as building and trees.

It looks like it's trying to shoot gangsta style, and if PGI even knew anything about guns, they would know only idiot a.s.s.hats hold their guns sideways, because it causes them to jam.

This is where it should keep the original arm stance but move the hardpoints to the side of the arm instead of under it.

Or bring it out to 15-20 degree instead of the 45degree angle

It does give it a wider stance, so that might take a bit to get used too, aka hitting someone or building when you think you are clear..

It does kinda remind me of the Ebon Jag, or yet to be released Cougar though, so in that since it feels more clan like.

but in the end it really doesn't mater to me much at all..

This may simply be the arm pose bug that affects many mechs when first loading mechlab. I assume the comparison shots were done with a deadline in mind and the error slipped through.

To me this looks like the "up" position on the arms, rather than change to animation posture. My computer is down right now though and I can't test this.

i really dont care. i dont think anyone uses those arms anyway. their crits mostly get allocated to endo and ff, then get no armor at all. they usually fall off early in the game and the hunch pilot doesnt care one bit that they are gone.

I think it may be so players can differentiate between the IS Hunchie and IIC at a glance.
okay, if you can't tell an afterbirth scum Hunchback from a Hunchback IIC, you need to get your eyes checked. They have twice as many hunches, and the Swayback IICs have twice as much swaying!

Yep. I run next to no armor on them. I like to think I'm donating them for an enemy's C-bills.
Then again, sometimes it feels like people shoot them off when they see them have no armor, not realizing I keep nothing in them. >.>

Ya but won't the new arms make it better for poking? Not that I'm a fan of poking, mind you.

Obviously, it was done so if you choose to go double UAC10 on a medium Clan mech, now if you don't want to look a little ******** you can select the Huntsman. Posted Image

'cause that Hunchback-IIC arm reposition makes it look like a circus mech.

It even has the perfect Circus paintjob while in default Origin "camo"

Does anybody else think this looks 'tarded?

I'm probably the only person who loves the HBK-IIC-C, it's my favorite mech, which is also the only one with lasers on the arms. and even I don't like this change.

They're not even changing the IS HBK. So it literally would only affect IIC-C players?

The vertical arms is a big reason why I like the aesthetic, reminds me of a Summoner.

woah... the heck, that looks horrid... please tell me that was a rigging oversight?

What it should look like is the actual hands twisted some, not the entire arm.

I wish! Huncback IIC is currently my favorite mech. Hope he doesn't get too hung up while trying to pass other players and big trees.

well, IDK who is in charge of that department, so I forwarded it as a polite question to Alexander Garden.. Am hoping that with so much being done, it just slipped through. All we can do is ask.

I'm almost sure it is just a glitch. IS Orion has displaced knee on the original scale screen, so... just a glitch.
