Spike Brave should be well known at least by newer players or they are making a mistake. He is one of several who have made "must watch" videos to help new players.

So I watched it and was thinking "yeah" and OMGoodness I wish I had seen this when I started this game. It would have made my beginning so much easier. I NOW know a lot of this but I learned the very hard way.

I found and started playing MWO at the beginning of the Faction Event. And I think I did something like 400 invasions, 75 counter attacks and 100 scouting missions before I did my first Quick Play. (I'm now at 688 invasions, 333 CA's and 204 scouting)

So anyway, right after I had watch Spike Brave's Youtube video, I went ahead and joined a Jade Falcon invasion which was a defense. WE are a few minutes in and they have broken through a gate and was attacking us. In the upper left of my screen, I saw the name "Spike Brave" flash. He had either killed someone or was killed. And i was killed at about the same time and was coming down in the next drop.

For some reason, I assumed he was with the attackers and I said: "O heck, we are facing a player who made a video on how to play faction warfare".

And someone said: "Uh, he is on our team".

And then Spike said: "yeah, this is me"

Anyway, I thought it was funny, lol.

Thanks for the shout out! I would encourage new players to at least glance at my channel. There has always been a need for tutiorals in MWO. That's why I started my channel. If you are new check it out. I've got UI stuff, gameplay videos, and some build guides.

Thanks for all your hard work Spike Brave! I've heard a rumor on Outreach HPG subreddit that there will be an official wiki potentially coming. If so, that would be a great place to post your videos!
