I've been away for a couple months, but since I've been back for the last few days, I can't complete a match on either Caustic Valley or Forest Colony without my video drivers crashing. This will occasionally be recovered and I can continue the match, but more often, I have to restart the client. In either case, I'm normally dead by the time I get back. I had similar problems several months ago, with the problem being isolated to Forest Colony, but now it's returned and added Caustic.

I'm running a GTX 750 Ti and included a screenshot of my video settings. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I see that you are using DX 9c instead of DX11. Is your OS 32bit or 64bit? And did you run the Repair tool in the Launchpad?

When you previously played did you force 32bit in the launchpad? That ability is gone from the launchpad but you can make a shortcut that, after you patch the game, will bypass the launchpad and launch MWO in 32bit mode.

I've had crashes in both DX9 and DX11 and from what I've been told, MWO doesn't really take advantage of any of the upgrades in DX11 anyway. I run the standard way through Steam, which I believe is the 64bit client, but my OS is 64bit as well.

I also had a crash today on the new Frozen City during a snowstorm.

With Steam, have you run through the Check game integrity?

Is the GPU OC any? Have you done a complete GPU installed and installed an older driver?

After patching, setup and run the force 32bit and test.

I gave this a try last night and it seemed to work fine, though I didn't land on any of the real problem maps, so it's tough to really tell. The video quality seems to be a little lower, which is unfortunate, but if it works and keeps my game from crashing, I'd rather have that than crisper, cleaner visuals. I can still see what I'm shooting at, and that's really what matters most.

Hopefully, I can find a way to avoid the crashes using the 64bit client. I have a suspicion that there may be some issues with the optimization on those environmental effect heavy maps.

The primary thing was to run the integrity file check. That checks the files for possible corruption then replaces them. The check may have also reset the game video settings and possibly your user.cfg.

The force 32bit is simply a testing tool for you. Have you ever had issues while running it on the testing grounds?

The file integrity check came back fine. I've never had any problems running in the testing grounds, but I can't really say that I've run any of those maps in the testing grounds. I suppose I could try them, as a test, but it may be one of those things that doesn't show up until there are a bunch of other mechs around, too.

I give up. Everything that I try fails. I've tried Forest Colony in Training Grounds several times with no problems at all. Every time that I end up in a match on Forest Colony, my video drivers crash. Better than 50% of the time on Frozen City, video drivers crash. Less than 50% of the time on Caustic Valley, video drivers crash.
