Congrats!
Just put together a new rig too, first one I've built in about 5 years (or more)

Silverstone Raven 3 case
Asus sabertooth Z77 mobo
Core i5 3750k
16GB Corsair vengance
2 x 120GB SSD (RAID0)
Zotact GTX670 AMP! edition
be quiet! Dark power pro 750W PSU

Love the Raven case, even though it can be a bit of a pig to work in. Also the mobo only came with right-angle SATA3 cables, had to buy some normal ones to get the SSDs hooked up.
Working off a stock fan at the moment, got it clocked up to 4.3Ghz until I get the new air cooler in.

Best of luck with your build :)

Thanks. Man I'm so scurred about not getting the all important "beep". But I guess actual hardware failure vs user error is pretty low.

Gonna have a backup policy and stick to it (this time damnit.. this time...) ., also kept the boxes / invoice etc.

I could stick another 4 in there on the SATA2 ports and RAID 10 them, but I'd lose IO.

All depends on the brand - quality is everything with SSDs. For that reason, we sell exclusively Intel SSDs where I work... and we have seen a failure rate of less than 2% across the whole time we've sold them (about four years now, I think). That is better than the Western Digital hard drives we carry over the same period (about 2.5% failure rate there, across all models).

Went with Corsair SSDs. Hoping I've got ones from a good production run

One of mine was a corsair the other was a crucial m-something. I have an intel now though so we shall see!

This; When my Tagan Xilence 450w supply took my entire system out (about the same time you were building your last system) there was sod-all I could do because I'd thrown away all the boxes/paperwork..

Same as you I didn't build another machine until now..

Glad to see another build thread, throw some pics up soon as you can.

Just a reminder of obsolescence. How much do you think the piledriver will cost when its released?

You'll likely see Bulldozer dip in price and piledriver take those price points would be my guess.
They are going to have to price well to compete with Intel in the home builders market, OEM wise its just never going to happen.

That's not bad. IF they are everything they should be that price point would be good.

I don't really like how the CPU is packaged. Oh well, let assembly begin.
