Both sides need to stop beating a dead horse is what I had meant to convey. Does none of us any good at this point. Please move on.

Again, dear PGI... I'm not trying to insult you when I say this: sincerely try to think things through before implementing things like this...

No thanks. I'll move on when it's actually fixed. A promise doesn't mean much, and a promise from PGI less.
Even then, once again the point of this thread is to make PGI aware of how many people disliked this, in the hopes that they will consider this in the future when they intend to implement poorly-tested features that have only been met with scorn and apprehension by those that have actually previewed the changes.
Cheers to you and Yellonet though for bumping.

Ok, I can respect your opinion even though I don't fully understand it.
Btw, Yellownet bumped first so all the props to him. Perhaps you could give him a foot massage as thanks?

Kind of figured as much after 5:00 PM passed today. Would rather they get it right rather than release with bugs.
Besides I kind of been having fun with the new map in spite of campaigning so fervently against it for days up until release. Hopefully they'll end up allowing us to check a box determining which mini we prefer as individuals or perhaps a toggle. At this point I'm leaning towards the old but the more games I play the more I'm starting to enjoy the new. They've already done all the work so seems it wouldn't be all that hard to allow us the choice.

Here it comes at 6 instead of 5. I figured they were having difficulties when it didn't arrive at 5.

Indeed, servers are in maintenance now.
Can't wait to get in there and see how it is now. Feeling hopeful.

Your lack of willingness to try something new will keep them evolving the game in any meaningful way.
Here's the thing. If you're smart and skilled, you will adjust fairly quickly. The problem is that minimap 2.0 is objectively WORSE than minimap 1.0. On large maps it becomes difficult to ID clusters of friendlies to see where they're going, to see UAVs, and to see other events on the map. In CW it's downright useless and an obstruction.
Think of it like doing algebraic functions on a scientific calculator, then switching to an abacus for the same calculations. You could do it, but your immediate reaction would be, "WTF M8!? DAFUQ IS DIS?!"

Oh, yay, that's just what FP needed: something to make it less fun an drive even more players from it. PGI's pillar vision for this game is so awesome! /s
Says the guy who's only been here since the beginning of this year. So much hate flowing from you, I'm sure you'll let it flow some more over other things.

Thank you kindly. I was joking. People will always complain about something they don't like, it's opinion, and opinions will always differ, no matter what. To the ends of time you could say.
Meanwhile, what forum title would you like? I was thinking Dorito Overlord.

I think I love you. I'd offer to bear your children, but I'm a guy so that would take some serious work in the medical field....

Love it actually.
Gives me back almost everything I was missing. Can live without the doritos and I'm hoping they'll make them available with TAG/UAV and such.
Hey Derek is there a way we can lock this thread? I think it's pretty much closed at this point no?
