My first games were on a trial Kit Fox that was available at the time. It had this harebrained mixed loadout with an LB-5X, one streak launcher, and something else.

First own mech, ER-PPC and machine guns. I figured I could do my own research, and picked the powerhouse that is CDA-3C as my first own mech...

AC20 on my Founders Hunch. Was nice when the hit registered or Commando's weren't going 180kph and knocking people down.

I don't know the first one I used, but the first one I fell in love with was the Medium Pulse Laser on my RVN-4X.

(Didn't use MGs much because at the time of recording I had it bound to a less than optimal mouse button)

Hmm.. First weapon used? AC 20, Was either a Victor or an Atlas, forgot which was released first in Beta, but even since Beta, I'd say my favorites anyway are the AC 20 and Lasers, though I'm also fond of my LRM's (221+ Kills in my BLR-1S, almost all LRM kills)

First weapon I used - Think it has to be PPCs on the K2.
It was before my Founder's gear got injected (iirc), so I didn't even have my Founder's Cat yet.

Having strong memories of MW2 and MechCommander, I loaded up a K2 with peeps, and attempted to shoot people in the face... Much surprise & hilarity when most of my shots went bos-eyed, and would cross in-front of me; the left-most ppc going to the right of my target and the right most peep going over his left shoulder... Trial Quickdraw with PPCs. Terrible, just terrible.
Nevertheless PPCs are still my favorite but I am still terrible with them. Meh.

Don't really know what was the first one.

The most loved weapon, which I used for grinding the rookie bonus and first ~3 ranks in CW was ERPPC on this baby: http://mwo.smurfy-ne...b#i=219&l=stock

My first mech was a COM-1B so I guess Med and Large Lasers.

My fav weapons ...uh I don't know exactly. I have a good feeling when running a MPL, AC/5 or (noER!) PPC build

Centurion CN9A was my first Mech in CB.
I had the 4 Founders Mechs and my thought was to play the Catapult as it was the most appealing Mech of the Founders Pack to me but decided to get out with the CN9-A for the first games to get a clue.
I think i did not fire a Weapon in my first match as i had enough to do to steer the Mech.
I believe i had no kill for 10 or more of my first matches.
I liked the versatility of the Mech and stuck with it for 1000s of Matches till the Phoenix Pack was reeleased.
The CN9-A came with 2ML, AC10, LRM10 if i remeber right, so very probably i launched a LRM as my very first weaponfire.

Dropping in a CN9-A Trial Mech - didn't know how to "alter" the fire groups so it was the MLAS the AC 10 and the LRM 10 all fired in the same time The target was an Atlas RS Trial on Caustic valley - after three-volleys my Mech did overheat and i was fodder.

Do you also want to know the position and the time of day? It was a Thursday at 13-14PM my son was sleeping.

I'm a Steambirth player, my first Mech and first weapon to use are Trial Jenner with 6 Medium Lasers. I usually use it as Speedy Backstabber.

My favorite weapon currently is IS Large Pulse Laser. I know it's a bit Meta but it's personal preferences.

Steambirth. <3

My first was the SRM4 on a COM-2D. I really loved MPLs first, though, even though they were garbage. When they got buffed and quirked into usefulness, I was a happy happy mechwarrior. They're still my fave.

Back in the day (closed beta), it was all about the Gauss Rifle or A/C20 for me.

Back then (in general) TTK was a lot lower since we only had SHS in the game, not to mention that the few mechs that were in the game had less hard points than we are used to now.

Back then I would try to run with my A/C20 Hunchback or dual A/C20 or dual Gauss Catapult K2 :). Once the Raven came out, I loved running a Gauss Raven :).

That was a different time though.

Don´t remember .. but i was running something ridiculous (for todays standards) like 2xML & 2xSRM2 on my Commando for a looong time, and it worked.

In cbt the repair & rearm was such a c-bill sink (people were dropping without armor/ammo. LOL) that pretty much nobody ran XL, there was no DHS .. basically the 'only' weapons in use were soap bubbles & cotton balls Posted Image
(which really made things like AC20 or Dual Gauss stand out. Unlike todays "everybodys carrying the firepower of an Atlas"..)

edit: Great timing there mister MeiSooHaityu!

When I first started the game... I was all about the Dakka. Primary method of attack... Only method of attack. The sound was amazing. Pa-pow pa-pow pa-pow... HPG Manifold sounded even better....

Then... I entered a tough match. And the little birdie chirped "AC/2 Ammo at 25%. AC/5 Ammo at 25%"...
Thinking to myself, it wasn't a big deal... until... "AC/2 Ammo Depleted....AC/5 Ammo depleted."

Now... I use Ballistics to supplement a Laser attack.
I carry mostly lasers if the mech build supports it, since they don't run out of ammo.

Favorite?

Well that's a toss up between two utilitarian weapon systems, the humble PPC or (U)AC/10, both weapons provide punch, reasonable rates of fire, but nothing stand out. They seem to draw less attention than that of the AC/20 or AC/5 for some reason...

First game I ever played was back in open beta

And I dropped in the stock Blackjack 1X

First thing I fired were the flamers, not knowing how much they sucked, or that mech in general sucked.
