Everyone knows about the team company battles of 12 vs.12. Since it is a total of 24 players, it could be a battle of 6 factions againist each other, but lone wolves could tag along with the other factions or act independently. With each player fighting for their faction, they can be divided into a lance. Multi-battles could mixed up factions like a Steiner company fighting a Davion lance with a hired Mercenary lance assisting them. Multi-Team battles can be fun for other players who want to dominate other factions and for those who like to have bigger battles instead of a regular Team vs.Team battle.

i like that idea mix it up a little. if your asking if they will have multi-team battles(i couldn't tell if you were asking or not) i dont think they will.

Bad idea is bad.
NAP's (non agression packs) will probably the order of the day so the poor sob unit which don't has one will go down pretty fast.
Same for team battles with an uneven number of teams. In a 3 team situation it will always be a 2 vs 1, even without any NAP's.

i didn't think of that. i still think multi-team should be a matchmaking game type separate from the main game. (considering the game has online story progretion , territory capture, etc.

Multi-team will probably be for the Quickmatch mode, while company vs company or House vs House will be for the community warfare mode whenever it comes out.

Yeah whatever. In the end there could be maps with multiple drop zones so that every unit could select an own dz.
It still won't work since it will always result in multiple units teaming up on one or even two units. I'm talking from experience (10+ years of MW4 online - where you could have up to 8 different teams on several maps).
It's not fun in "open" games and absolutely dumb in organized league games, since chances are not equal for everyone anymore (chances would be equal for everyone in a one team vs another team setting though).

I could see this in like a Solaris type thing, but doesn't make much sense to me otherwise

Multi-team battles?
Can we just reserve this kind of concept to Solaris VII stuff plz. I can see there being arena matches, but if there are I think the incentives for fighting need to be high enough to prevent NAPs taking the fun out of these events. Easiest solution though is to have players who enter the Solaris VII arena events (should they have them at all) not see the names of opponents until the match is over and do not allow entrant groups.

I would definitely like Battalion and Regiment sized battles. Depends on server load and lag, of course, but... damn...
Also, this is a game that needs LAN party support. (Private rooms, basically.)
