Yes, they are reading everything on purpose! And they are taking suggestions in on purpose too!

But doing the opposite.
Have I to write how many time we asked for something without being listened to...and when listened we saw pgi choosing to do the opposite?

edit: also "We do not need community suggestions"tm

***DEVS PLEASE READ THAT TOO***

we desperatly need new/reworked maps for CW. We've been playing on the same maps with the same mods for ages.
Maybe it's a good idea to approach it the way you did it with the Grim Portico offspin, using the same landscape art/setting to spawn multiple maps of the same theme.

And a spaceport map!
Spaceports are on every major planet, so I wouldn't mind fighting over it again and again!
Spaceports are cool!
Spaceports come with a immersion +50 trade.

Thanks a lot for reading.

When it's less then 1% of the community that believes that it knows best for mwo, it makes you think, doesn't it?

it's very confortable to your and pgi point of view to never ever do polls for whatever decisions or whatever issue the game has.
So you and pgi can keep telling the tale/fairy story about 1% percent.

I mean: obligatory polls, in openscreen game....NOT forum ones.

Your not the only one Derek.

I was in the champions online testing all the way from pre alpha though to launch and that is certainly one they they got right. In game surveys.....even though the majority of testers are on the forums in game voteing was far better.

Why games stop doing it when they go live is beyond me.

Derek.

Lets say I want to give feedback to the devs regarding this battlemaster:
Spoiler

Specially with this quirk:
Spoiler

How can I do that?
I have absolutely no way... but to shout in this "echo chamber"

When there is no response, people draw their own conclusions.
Which for the above example is:
1- The modeler has no clue about the gameplay (most likely)
2- He does it on purpose (highly unlikely)

And that is just one example.

There is also the mythical 6xMG spider!

Also regarding the percentage of players on the forums... They might be a small percentage of the total MWO accounts, true.
But i'm pretty sure most of PGI's revenue comes from that small percentage.

David... you're talking about him again. don't. that's history. forget him and what he was. he's no more.

And as well as about the feedback, I can understand, It's hard when you and others are the only ones talking.

But one thing I will say that's wrong is the revenue mostly comes from us alone mostly. I've known people and talked to them, people who don't post on the forums little or at all, who spend thousands of dollars on this game. I remember one guy, his name was Ipaam I believe, he had a golden Timber, a golden adder, and alot of mech packs and MC. (he also dressed up in some funny yet cool pajama body clothes, cookie monster was a funny one).

He didn't ever really complain about the game, he liked playing it.

Another guy, actually a few I can name off, Keez, Lando Kufahl, Star Lord, they all bought quite a bit of mech packs and enjoyed them, they didn't really care on balance, they just likes playing the game. (Star Lord still plays frequently, he plays for the 420 unit nowadays). Those are a few, I knew three units, private ones, with about 40-50 count which over two thirds of each spent at least $100+ on this game in mech packs or MC.

But I will say that the small population here, has probably the biggest spenders of them all. they don't outweigh or bring in the most revenue for the game but they certainly do put lots of time and effort and money into this game.

And Navid, are you having duplicate post problems? I've been noticing them recently today. it's your post quoted but then deleted.

Funny actually, we discussed it. Us people. half decided no we don't need this, it's unnecessary! another half, hey that's cool I like that!

Of course it went nowhere, because we couldn't even agree or disagree on it fully lol.

LOL Derek: PGI should have done it: OBLIGATORY POLLS.
It's not about game decisions: it's about common-sense-grain'o-salt" public relations.
Community should not discuss about that.
(again... why do I have again the sensation to have to explain even the basic stuff..... this is weird...)

HAHAHHA, wait I've just seen the dev video!! This is hilarious.
Do u remember what happened with the infamous "we do not need your suggestion" townhall?
Tina went here and proposed a DEV-vlog.
EVERYBODY in the community said, NO. We need to intereact, or "ask the dev".

Look at how community manager listened: we have a dev-vlog number 17!!!

Dear op,
To get the staffs attention you should try another thread title like:
"proof that pgi is bankrupt"
Or
"Paul just ate my baby"
Or
"island flooding causes Russ to lose millions"

With this at hand it should be easier to get more attention...

Do you remember what happened when Tina came after 2-3 days here in forum, trying to repair pgi ceo damage?
Do you remember what the community answered when she proposed Dev-Vlog?

Forum search is there Derek
Have fun

also...I cannot find "ask the devs".

Yes, sadly. Few people who want build diversity and improved gameplay are often ignored. I mean, we know PGI receives feedback... but its most likely from a very small set of people who promote certain playstyles and unintentionally want to steer the game towards their own preference.

But the point was about how closed the door is when it comes to receiving feedback on such things, unless there is an outcry on the forums.

That I don't remember. I wasn't around at the time to see that unfold.

Ask the Devs? Who knows.

Meanwhile I'm still sitting here just finally able to relax late at night after a stupendous amount of madness for me today. No, no not from the forums.... just, things don't go right.

One of them involved putting a sprinkler down (the kind that you connect to a hose and adjust) and then turn on the water, came back half an hour later to find the top exploded and water flooded the side yard ;-;

Ehh, first world problems, I'll get over it.

Meanwhile I'll look that up Stefka, it's been awhile.

See that's the thing, small population of the actual big one doesn't come on, so we rehash and rehash and rehash till we're blue in the face or sick to the stomach with it.

And okay, that's good, I thought we had the duplicate posts coming back again, another person did so in another thread.

Oh please. We all saw how they read the forum right before the minimapapocalypse. We've had 3 topics discussing exactly how bad the new minimap is going to be 3-4 days before the patch. Did they read? LOL, yeah right. They only read when someone told them that there are 100 topics about the minimap 2 hours past the patch, and only coz that certain someone did, not coz they actually pay attention themselves.

On the subject ...
I do feel that random map selection was more fair, but at the same time with voting people have a better chance to play what they want to play. I mean, the right thing to do would be to make map selection random, but to allow you to choose one of the loadouts you got saved for the mech you are dropping with so you can adjust accordingly. But that of course requires the actual loadouts system in place, and that seems to be far beyond the capability of our devs (unlike all previous MW games, i.e. lostech).

Oh and by the way, since we do have a voting sysytem you'd think the devs would collect stats and see what maps people vote for, i.e. what maps are considered good and what are bad so they can decide what maps need an overhaul and what don't? LOL. The fact that one of the most voted (if not THE most voted map in the game) - old FrozenCity got changed into another "balanced" snipefest crap tells you all.

So yeah, what others said. Don't expect devs to read anything you post here. After all Opinions do not MatterTM.
They totally know what they are doing and absoultely know what we want and what we need better than ourselves.
@IslandTM.
