In scout mode, when your mission is "gather intel" you do not get enough points from gathering intel and getting out alive for the match to qualify. You actually get more points to qualify if you fight and die. Seems like that should be changed.

Yep, I just won the match for my team by getting to the drop zone after they'd died.

But it was a non-qualifying win because, in order for us to win, my team asked me to bug out and therefore I didn't do enough damage.

So the 3 who died recorded a qualifying win, and I, who made it to the dropship, didn't.

Makes zero sense.

So another wasted event...log on, check FW and all planets are at Long Tom. Waste of time. I am really beginning to rethink my commitment to this game. Hey, at least I can by a mech pack.

If anything, expect changes to scouting if the results are truly one sided...

I suspect dropping the weight to 50tons will make a difference, if psychologically as all the IS heavy hitters and Storm Crows will be left out...

Simple blow the legs of them with grouped firepower, Centurions, Hunchbacks, Griffins do quite well, not lost a pug drop

I do wish they'd fix Clan Vs IS invasion matches before launching events specifically targetted at Clan Vs IS.

It's a little telling when the tournament match teams are almost always 75% Clan mechs

Things that need to happen to save this event:

1. Long Tom cooldown reduced to 4 minutes
2. Scouting tonnage reduced to 50 tons
3. IS dropdecks increased to 260 tons

look like they are trying real hard to get interest in the NOT WORTH THE TIME AND WAIT cw variant(s)

PASS on anything "CW" related (unless the dump everything about the current way it is and start over from scratch leaving out EVERYTHING thats currently CW

Huntsman cannot hold 8 C Streak 4's with enough ammo and CAP without stripping a lot of armor, nevermind the heat from an alpha. Even then, it's 2 tubes more than a skillcrow. An that's a problem for October. All praise the new energy draw mechanic.

And from how the planets were doing last night, I disagree. We completely and utterly lost attack and defense, both 100% on both planets. Only 1 planet had long tom on it at the time.

Wow, for clans run Streak not SRM Crows or you lose, the SRM are useless for CW for some reason. IS Hunchies, Wolverenes, Griffens with SRM and the like are way OP see them and you know you are are wasted, forget about completing the challenge. I like their focus fire on the legs with those IS SRM that is suppose to be a spread fire weapon... And the damage proof mechs we have to play against... So after 15 games only 3 wins and that the first three? It is a waste of time with scouting. The most funny is the way Clan was way ahead in scouting and just suddenly it reversed the other way towards the IS...

If I knew all this before I got the game I would have never bothered getting it.I am new with only one mech so I do need more mechs but this is enough. I am not going to sit here trying to win against mech that has been made to be invincible.

Huntsman will never be as rediculous as continuous 4x Stormcrow scout teams, mostly because it'll be about a year before it's available for C-Bills, and by then *who knows*, maybe the game will be focussed on a new game mode where a Jenner pilot tries to headstomp an Atlas to death on a 10 minute timer. It'd be more balanced.

3. Roughly 1 in every 10 invasion matches is won by IS in my experience, and that is being seriously generous. In pugs, Clan wins unless they properly screw up. It's beyond stupid; it's totally demoralising.

To those complaining about StormCrows being OP, I can as equally tell you that Griffins are OP. I originally tried SSRMs on a ShadowCat, because I need more mobility and ability to Counter ECM, which the StormCrow doesn't provide, and kept getting smacked. I then skipped the SSRMs and used Normal SRMs because of ECM, and Griffins still have way too much armor for anyone to take them down at a reasonable rate! And no, you're not going to pound me into a StormCrow because I just don't have the spare Mech Bays to support having them, I can't afford in IRL $$$ what it would take to add all that, and my piloting style has never been able to be the damned Meta! I don't function like every damn one else! The argument goes in BOTH directions, and the Meta can damn well go screw itself! <_<


On other notes... PGI, you've finally turned me toxic! Damn you to hell! You don't crash several people right at the start of a match, then hand the enemy team the victory through preventing one team from using their Mechs at all! Worse, you don't crash people like that because you're bent on displaying injected rewards, and/or cycling your damned login system! You definitely never bounce someone's drop deck because the group leader changes the game mode! And you don't ruin a private conversation in progress by crashing the client so the chat is completely lost! You had better damn well extend the time allowed for this event, or you're very likely to lose a lot of Mech Pilots, myself included! I'm way beyond hellishly sick of your damned "Pressure Cook And Grab Their $$$" mentality! :angry:

Roflmao. Man this forum post makes me giggle. If you are all so pissed about cw/fp then stop playing the damn thing until they fix it. Now granted that might take what the better part of 6 months? I've stopped trying to play cw/fp as I'm trying to build up my mech count and all but if everyone on both sides has the same "it's not worth playing til they fix it" attitude then just stop and tank the population and see if they notice.

AC20 builds Rule , Go IS Kick some clan tin can butt.
I like my SHD-2H done well ripping through claners, CN9 has proven its self a worthy unit.

Invasion Mode with 20 wins will be well out of my reach @ 10 hours if a 100% success.

Scouting isn't bad.

It would be better if there were two scouting missions running concurrently so that both sides could get Long Tom/Deny other side Long Tom, but this game normally struggles to find players for one scouting mission and Invasion so...


Invasion has issues.

What those issues are and how adversely they affect the game is situational and differs from one pilot to the next.
