Thats the point. U faced IS pilots playing in teams. These kind of matches are balanced. The problems are the fights of our pugs and new players.
Skillcrow is just easier to play for new players then the mediums on IS side.
The people who care a bit more about the game and have some more games played, know how to play against the skillcrow. The new players dont. So IS is losing scoutgames on every single planet.
We had been scouting with 3 groups and winning nearly every game, and the planet still lost intel, because the pugs lost the games faster then we had been able to win them.
Edit: so 2 possibilities to balance it:
reduce the tonnage to 50t OR dont allow people who played less then xxx games to join scoutmatches.
Almost all of the ppl I've played during the event so far were premade groups, judging from the identical unit tags, Got stomped a few times, we stomped them right back, and took another world from the Lyrans in so doing. To add insult to injury, most of the ppl I was running with were pugs, (including myself) and we weren't running streakcrows either. Wanna know how we did it?
We did that which is unthinkable amongst pugs: We actually fsckin talked to each other, we shared info, we called out targets, and covered each other's ***, we predicted where our opponents were based on where we saw the dropship take off. One of my teammates even revealed to me the dark magicks that allow you to find beacons quickly over distance using thermal imaging, and honestly, I was not aware of that trick until now. Through the OPplznerf god-tier powers of teamwork, we were able to coordinate and put up a fight against premade deathsquads.
Repeat after me: It's not the mech, it's how well you work AS A TEAM.

Scouting build as in a 55 ton medium not fit at all for scouting, except what PGI calls scouting? Right you are.
Hey, don't hate the player, hate the game. If one does not want to bring the correct tools for the job as it exists, it's on them if they fail.

Sigh!
Not all lights are scouts, and not all scouts are lights. And what is wrong with bringing scout killers in a "scouting" mode?

You think we dont talk? We even got the advice not to drop in full groups to take some pugs with us.
Lets just see the numbers: at 21 pm CET the Long Tom had been active at 3 planstes Steiner could have defended ( 2 of them at 100% at the same time) the planet we attacked was at 80% for Claners, the Last one with LT at 90%. Lets count:
Of 2400 possible intel points we could have gathered on these planets we got 180. ......
Clans 2220 / IS 180
The **** talk "try harder " - "talk more " is a bit simple. Or maybe we are just not that blessed by god.

That Mystere, is way to outside the box! It is not safe out there! It is far safer inside the box with the lid closed doing what everyone else is doing..
The Box is safety. It is protective. It is a shield.

I was gonna reply, but then I realized this is just a forum of people who don't matter. Including me.
Enjoy your seal clubbing.

2 games we brought SreakCrows to make the IS laugh, but for some reason there is a bug in the current patch causing them to not be able to fire unless changing targets 2-3 times/30 seconds (and we still won)
So, we ran anything BUT SCrows. We ran:
NVA - varying builds
SCR - varying from MPL, to trial SCH etc
SHC - varying all sorts
ACH - UAC10 (absolute hilarity from a PUG we picked up, he dominated with it)
So basically no streak crows for 28 games, lost I think, one. We had a 2 or 3 man team running (alternative players every few games) each game and all we did, used in-game comms for the 1/2 PUGs.
It seems you don't even need streaks to beat IS PUGs.

Said the guy that ejects from all of his mechs and runs the last one out of bounds when he sees some enemies ?
Pff, Froggie boy ...
And to those harping on and on about the StreakCrow ... we´ve already been there and it´s so hilariously easy to murder them streak-carriers that I´m honestly astonished you IS cryhards haven´t found a solution yet, which in circle logic only shows that you don´t seem to be as good as you´re claiming .
Whats with the 3LPL BJ all of a sudden ? Should be a damn fine legkiller with good mobility, excellent heatmanagement and masterful poking-ability, but nahhhhh, youre just going mimimi
Whats with 4SRM6Artemis Griffin ? Not EZmode enough for yall ? PFFFFFFFFF, get outta here
Whats with Don Centurion ? Also not EZmode enough ? With those AC quirks and its wonderful Zombiemode? BAH .
Soooo, you IS dudes can bring 3 different mechs in a Scout match to be able to compete with them Crows, but nahhhh, you guys just derp around and go to the Forums to have a little verbal fighting instead of going to your effing mechlabs and putting some solid murdermachines together .
*insert galactic facepalm*

Russ and Paul don´t either... and so FP in the current form is dead horse. Stupid, dull, unbalanced and completly destroyed by Claner-Only-[Long Tom]. No fun and skill at all (E-Sport... whuaahhh)

The majority of the major Merc units are all piling onto JF. A minimum of 13 of the top 19 merc units are in JF right now, they must be allergic to fighting each other...
JF gets planets rolled over quickly because they can field 8-10 organised 12 mans onto a planet and can flood the scout queue with 4 mans. the combined organised 12 mans of Steiner and FRR probably amount to half of that, and they attack, since defending can only lose the planet and not gain anything.
Whats left in Davion is largely just fighting with Liao and Marik
Kurita is a shell of its former glory.

Did find some clan derp out there - an LRM SCrow, an LRM SCat...
IS pugging was a mess though before that, with half the matches dropping an AFK IS pilot or a deliberate disconnect. Not cool.
